Takes a Village - pop up for new parents
rachelb123 replied to Jaysaw's topic in Request a Tradesperson
We've just seen these lovely recommendations thank you SO much everyone :) To add we are moving up to a bigger space at The lordship pub from Monday April 16th (closed Monday 9th while we sort out the move). We will have all the same classes and services and same welcoming supportive atmosphere for parents but a bit more room for buggies and so on. Food is great there and staff really welcoming of parents and babies so do come check us out if you are around ed with preschoolers of a Monday. Best way to see what were up to is via instagram @takes.a.village or our website www.takesavillage.co.uk Thanks :) Rachel -

Carpet Cleaner recommendation
rachelb123 replied to sue.dawsonramsden@gm's topic in Request a Tradesperson
Would also recommend Bradley! He's polite and reliable and gets on with the job without a fuss. He's been twice to clean our carpets, and came back a third time to do a complimentary stain treatment, on a weekend, when I mentioned that a couple of stubborn stains were still visible once the carpet had dried. Would definitely recommend him! -
Hi all, dont suppose anyone has seen my lost parcel this afternoon on crystal palace road? Collected from post office on sylvester and then walked to the actress and seem to have dropped it from the buggy en route. It's an a3 poster in a cardboard tube addressed to Rachel Barlow. Would be very great full of you could pm me if found! Thanks, Rachel

Housekeeper needed- ideally with some babysitting too!
rachelb123 replied to rachelb123's topic in Request a Tradesperson
We've now managed to increase our clearners hours so now looking for 15-20 hours and won't include any heavy cleaning. -
We are looking for a housekeeper/excellent cleaner/mothers help 20-25 hours per week. Tasks to include cleaning, tidying, laundry and ironing, preferably some cooking and other odd jobs. We have a 2 month old and 22 month old, so must be someone very comfortable with young toddlers and babies, who is kind and calm. Ideally we'd love someone who would be happy to babysit for an hour or two during the day or perhaps occasionally at the weekend or evenings. Ideal hours would include some early evenings (e.g. 5.30-8pm two or three days per week) for the next month or two. Other hours negotiable and flexible for the right candidate. Must be someone proactive, cheerful and thorough, who is happy to muck in and take initiative on what needs doing! We really hope to find someone who will fit in to our family and for the kids to get to know well. Please pm me if you would be interested or can recommend someone. Thanks! Rachel
