  1. I hate the whole 'Empire' in the title bit and never get excited about winners etc. If anyone has seen 'A United Kingdom' which was out Nov-2016, then getting one of these titles would leave a bad taste. I'm all for recognising achievement, just not with honours that hark back to a distasteful period in British history.
  2. Hey, www.lease-advise.org can offer free advise and on enfranchisement matters via phone or email. Good luck!
  3. The vacant possession would apply to the flats let on Assured Short Holders, notice would have been served on them. Mrs Robinson would be 'a secure tenant' with L & T 1954 Act protections. They would be entitled to 'hold over' their lease until such time as terms were agreed, either by agreement or court. Unless Mrs R serves notice under the act, they'll still be around whoever the freeholder is.
  4. Hi All, Due to van trouble with my original Man & Van. I'm up against the clock, I've already called three Man & Vans (Smith41, Joseph, Santos) If you are one, please PM me. Thank you.
  5. NI is only required if you are registering at that address for the first time, so that you can be cross referenced with DWP database. You can save both the canvasser and yourself a lot of hassle by doing it online NI will still be required. Also it the means that our Council Tax goes on real services not on people being chased to register. I speak as someone who has canvassed, for this purpose. We have a day job and get paid for canvassing too, nice little earner at this time of year. Also rest assured that all canvassers are Council employees due to data protection and should have ID with contact numbers.
