Single mum with 10 month old in need of a home asap
Melph91 replied to Carolina's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi Carolina, There is a group on facebook called "For sale in East dulwich and Peckham" and a lady has just advertised a room in SE9 (Mottingham). I don't know if it would work for you as you did say rental is not an option and its a bit far out but you've been on my mind all day so thought I'd mention. Will keep my eyes open! Here is the link: www.spareroom.co.uk/4464804 -

Obviously the solution is for people to cease reproducing thus solving the issue of both children and prams. You're welcome. -
Empty building/office on Crystal Palace Road
Melph91 replied to Melph91's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
It's a shame because good office space is hard to come by too. It could have been a building which created long term job opportunities or a school to target the current shortage in the area.. rather than attracting more people who's children will need schools etc etc you see where I'm going. That said, a 4 bed townhouse sounds nice. -
Blimey, did anyone make it to the memorial. Do we know what the safeguarding issue was? I was personally around him for much of my childhood and a bit shocked really

What a waste! :( -
Hi all, Does anyone know whether the big blue office building with loading bay on crystal palace road is vacant? As far as I know it's not had anyone working from within for many years. Are there plans for development? I did try to call the number for Jones lang lasalle on the outside but they don't seem to have it on their records.

Wrong type of weeds in brown bin - now blacklisted

Call the council and kick up a fuss, we had a similar problem with bin men picking and choosing what to take when we first moved to ED. Called and complained, was gone in 3 days. -

I haven't read the article (or all of this thread) but am a former jags girl and can confirm that jags grounds have belonged to them for over a century. The new AstroTurf next to the charters new AstroTurf was built while I was there and money was raised for it rather for the ground it was on. The charitable status allows the school to use donations to fund scholarships and bursaries so that the school is not limited to those who can afford it

Hi all, I went to St John's and St cleclements school and have fond memories of Father Charles. When I called the church to set a date for my wedding in November last year I was told he had "taken a step back from ministry" and when I called today to confirm was told he had passed away. Does anyone know what happened? It is a great shame, he was a lovely man.
