  2. If like me, you are hell bent on getting fit and changing your body type/shape, but cannot bare the thought of going to a gym two or three times a week, then I have found the solution! His name is Tom Lynas and he is an East Dulwich resident who also runs his classes in East Dulwich. Tom's passion for Fitness and training is obvious and I've seen great results without stepping inside the gym, which I find really boring. He is always looking for new ways to make our sessions more fun and more challenging and its good fun seeing what he rocks up with on a weekly basis to help me get into shape! Sometimes its the standard kettle bells, but other times there could be a giant tyre, a rope, a pole, and the list goes on... I found Tom after attending his METAFIT class on Monday nights from 7.30pm or 8.10pm at the Dulwich Constitutional Hall on East Dulwich Grove. Another great class! He also runs a class called Bear Drills on Thursday nights, but I haven't got along to that yet! I really struggled to find a PT that wasn't affiliated to a gym, and therefore attracting a membership fee etc on top of session fees, so I hope this little endorsement might help a few others who are in the same boat as me!
  3. Dulwich Singers! Wednesday nights: 8.00-9.30pm St Faiths Centre, Red Post Hill, Dulwich, SE24 9JQ (Upper meeting room) ADULTS ONLY Dulwich Singers! is a singing class with a difference! Not your typical community choir, we run a weekly 90 minute adult singing class, designed to improve your vocal technique/ability, develop your musical knowledge (we only sing from sheet music) and of course to pass onto to you all of the benefits of SINGING! Singing is proven to REDUCE STRESS, CLEAR THE SINUSES, IMPROVE POSTURE! But here's the secret... SINGING IS FUN! The class is taught by working professional Musical Directors from the world of Pop/Opera and Musical Theatre and we cover a vast array of styles to suit all! No previous experience is necessary, however a willingness to work from sheet music or the ability to follow it, is desirable! If you would like anymore information call: 0208 850 0516 or e-mail: [email protected] The class costs ?10 per week, on a reclining scale dependent on number of attendees. Your first session is FREE with no obligation to commit weekly! (But you will want to!) All classes are held at St Faiths Centre, Red Post Hill or JAGS, East Dulwich Grove.
