  2. Thanks everyone for suggestions - really useful. I had ruled out going via London Bridge, because of the well documented problems. Hadn't considered train from PR to E&C. May have to try out a few of these and report back.
  3. Does anyone regularly go up to Baker street for work? I have been up there for a job interview and it took me an hour and a half door to door - which i thought was a bit ridiculous. I may have picked the wrong way to do it - i took the 12 from Barry Rd to Elephant and Castle then took the Bakerloo line. Has anyone got any suggestions on this one.

That's not even the dearest - the 5 seed loaf is ?4.50. It's lovely bread.....although if i recall correctly it was cheaper than this when it was sold in the Franklins Farm shop.
  5. i think every medical centre in the country has this. my mum says hers (in NIreland) is identical.
  6. TBH I don't have kids but i totally get the POV of the original emailer. Some points - 1. Isn't it better to get 1 present that is wanted rather than 30 bits of assorted little bits of junk are going to end up in the bin or gifted on to someone else? 2. Isn't it a bit easier for the person buying a gift not to actually out and look for a ft? 3. Didn't the email say the amount given was just a suggestion? You could get something else, or indeed nothing at all if you wanted? 4. The original email is over a year old, yet MK chose to release it now....publicity???

The various wordings that i have seen are (to me) a bit ambiguous. However the petition has been set up by the DPG GAs - so isn't that valid? I don't see the Gallery spokespeople addressing that particular issue.....

From the Facebook page "Save Jobs at Dulwich Picture Gallery": Senior Management at Dulwich Picture Gallery propose to make over half of the current visitor services team redundant, as part of the gallery?s cost-cutting programme.19 members of the front-of-house team will face redundancy. Those retaining their jobs will be asked to sign new annualised hours contracts which will force them to work any hours stipulated by management without over-time rates. The expected impact will be a lower annual income for visitor services staff.

Nothing. But i know at least 2 friends that have signed this.
  10. What makes you think that the signatories aren't Friends of DPG?
