  1. Hi - I have a friend who can help with this. She's not based in the area but will happily travel I think. Her website is https://www.declutterwithhannah.com/
  2. Hi All, Just to follow up on my previous post I have just launched my website with more information about me, coaching generally and my practice. Have a look here https://www.markbixterlifecoach.co.uk Any questions please ask. Thanks, Mark
  3. I used to have a cycle mask - I'm sure they do work, but I found it very uncomfortable to wear and it made my skin quite blotchy so I stopped using it!
  4. Hi All, I am a local celebrant and have just launched a new website. If you are looking for a celebrant for your wedding, civil ceremony, baby naming, adoption ceremony or vow renewal then please get in touch. My website is here www.markbixtercelebrant.co.uk/
  5. Hi Phlox, Apologies for the delay responding. I was hoping to cook again pre Christmas but unfortunately I've broken a bone in my hand and it will be tricky with a cast on so it will be the new year now! There have been loads of new chefs sign up in the area though so if you visit https://menunextdoor.co.uk/en and put in your post code there is plenty nearby. Sorry I'm not cooking sooner and thank you for asking! Best wishes, Mark

I SMBS is very reasonably priced for fresh fruit and veg I think, but we can't make assumptions about what is reasonable for the OP. Agreed that Franklins is a bit more expensive as I highlighted in my original post, but the OP also requested decent quality so it was worth mentioning.
  7. SMBS on Lordship Lane is very good. The Grocer in Nunhead is excellent, cheap and lovely staff (I think it;s called Beaumont) General Store on Bellenden Rd has incredible produce, but it's not exactly cheap, but check before you buy as sometimes t=the veg isn't as fresh as you'd like! Franklins have good quality stuff, but again not always the cheaper end!
  8. I agree it is a pain having the bridge closed, but it doesn't take that long to drive down Chadwick Rd and back up Lyndhurst - less than 5 mins so it needn't stop you shopping in Camberwell.
  9. This sounds great! How much will the courses cost?
  10. This Wednesday I'll be cooking a venison and juniper stew with creamy mash followed by a panna cotta. The meal is offered through Menu Next Door which is an alternative to a local take away where you buy a tasty meal from your neighbours. To order please click the link here https://menunextdoor.co.uk/en/menus/wednesday-winter-warmer/sharing-chef?utm_campaign=SharingChef&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook.com&utm_content=13629 I hope to see some of you on Wednesday and if you have any questions please ask. nb apologies I posted about this in the wrong section last week!
  11. Crisis at Christmas are always looking for volunteers and I think they have some specific IT roles. I'm not sure if they have any centres particularly local though.
  12. Hi All, As Summer seems to be behind us we have created a new meal to go on Menu Next Door and next Wednesday 2nd November we will be cooking a venison and juniper stew follwed by panna cotta. To order a portion please click the link here https://menunextdoor.co.uk/en/menus/wednesday-winter-warmer/sharing-chef?action=show&controller=shortened_urls&id=uf0gf&utm_campaign=FlowChef&utm_campaign=SharingChef&utm_content=13629&utm_content=ConfirmedMenuNotification&utm_medium=email&utm_medium=social&utm_source=platform I hope to meet some of you next week. Thanks!
  13. I'd second Artusi - the best Italian locally I think.
  14. I am a life coach based in Nunhead and am taking on new clients. Life Coaching is a tool that enables you to achieve your goals, gain greater clarity or help you navigate through change or difficult decisions. It works on the premise that you, the client are the expert about your own life and the role of the coach is to support you in finding solutions. A coach is not a mentor and does not offer advice. Please drop me a line if you are interested. If you are unsure if coaching is the right thing for you or you have any questions about the process then please do ask. I would be very happy to go for a coffee and chat things through further before we committed to any sessions. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks, Mark
  15. Hi All, We have a new menu on tonight if you fancy a night off cooking. It would be lovely to see some people there. You can place your orders here https://menunextdoor.co.uk/en/menus/winner-winner-chicken-dinner?sharing_chef_modal=true&utm_campaign=SharingChef&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook.com&utm_content=13629 We were also featured in the most recent issue of the Peckham Peculiar who wrote a lovely piece and you can read that here http://peckhampeculiar.tumblr.com/post/149455012651/takeaway-with-a-twist Thank you
  16. We had a great night on Sunday and met some lovely local people. So we'll be offering our menu again this Sunday. It would be great to see you there! The link to order is here https://menunextdoor.be/en/menus/sassy-sunday-supper-2?sharing_chef_modal=true&utm_campaign=SharingChef&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook.com&utm_content=13629 Any questions, please ask!
  17. Thank you! I think it's a great idea and s lovely way to meet some neighbours too! Hope to see some of you tomorrow - please put in your orders! Thank you!
  18. Hi, I have just signed up to Menu Next Door which is a great community spirited food enterprise. It's a bit like air bnb but for take away food! The idea is that people cook food in their own home and it is bought by people locally. There are a couple of people doing it in the local area and we are trialing our first menu this Sunday 31st July. You can find all the details about it here https://menunextdoor.co.uk/en/menus/sassy-sunday-supper?sharing_chef_modal=true&utm_campaign=FlowChef&utm_campaign=SharingChef&utm_content=13629&utm_content=ConfirmedMenuNotification&utm_medium=email&utm_medium=social&utm_source=platform Any questions please ask and I hope to see some of you on Sunday! Thanks!
  19. Adding to the praise for Dave! I called him this morning as my boiler had gone on the blink, he arrived the same day and had the problem fixed within an hour. He turned up exactly when he said he would, identified the problem and provided a cheap solution. I would certainly reccommend. Thanks, Mark
  20. I would also highly reccommend Andy & Richard. We called them to fit some blinds and sort out a new light fitting. Andy arrived within 2 hours and did a great job of the blinds. He wasn't able to sort out the light fitting then, so Richard came the next day. There was no charge for the light fitting in the end as it was a much simpler job than anticipated.
