Ladies and Gents, it is the Peckham Rye Ward panel meeting on 6th March at 19:00-20:00 hours at Cafe G on Peckham Rye. This is your chance to speak to your local SNT for Peckham Rye about issues close to you and to hear from us about what we have been doing recently. Apologies for not posting for such a long-time, both myself and my colleague are relatively new in post and have only just found out about this forum. From now on we will endeavour to use this as much as possible! All are welcome to come to the meeting if you live within the boundaries of our ward, attached is an image of the ward. The nights are closing in and your house is vulnerable. Don't leave anything to chance, lock it , close it and light it up when out. The elderly are also vulnerable to tricksters that want to get in their home and steal. Tell them to Watch out for bogus callers and make sure they are safe each night. Peckham Rye will be visiting the elderly delivering leaflets and giving crime prevention. Please hand out these leaflets to your family to help prevent these crimes from happening. Good afternoon all, any views on how the Peckham Rye festival went last weekend.

Dear forum members. Some of you may or may not know, motorcycle/moped theft is on the increase in and around where you live. The reason for this is so the criminals have access to a pool of stolen vehicles to commit street crime, predominantly robberies of mobile phones from victims using them in the street ,crossing roads and commuting to and from work in the north of the borough. The Peckham Rye SNT would like to alert you all to this, so you can secure your vehicles in better ways at home, commuting and parking up anywhere. This could help reduce the thefts. If you use your phone walking around these areas it is paramount that you remain vigilant as you may be at risk of being a target. Please don?t hesitate to contact the Police with any information if you see any of these crimes occur and could help. Today under operation big wing your local policing team executed a drugs warrant within the peckham rye ward where drugs were seized. for more information regarding these subjects or any intel that can be given to us please attend the ward panel on 3rd march 2016 at 7pm at the Waverley Arms Ivydale Road Peckham.

Residents within SE22 - Peckham Rye LPT with the help of Police Cadets will be posting 600 leafets tonight around areas of Forest Hill Road with extra attention on Mundania Road. A number of doors will be getting knocked on to ask if any residents would like some crime prevention advice. This is solely for information purposes thank you. Please see our page on Facebook for up to date information & street briefing dates held at Peckham Rye Park Cafe once a week.

Making people aware if any residents see any motorcycles/scooters getting loaded or unloaded into a van please call 999 immediately as this a police priority.MAKE SURE YOU TELL THE OPERATOR THE THEFT IS HAPPING NOW TO GET A IMMEDIATE RESPONSE. The thefts seem to be happening from around 22:00-06:00. Please lock your bikes securley to a non removable object or place in agarge if practical.

Just making every one aware there has been a number motorcycle and moped thefts in the area, please be vigilant and call 999 if you see anything suspicious.

At present roads off Forest Hill, Peckham Rye have seen a rise in thefts of scooters/mopeds with most being taken overnight. If you know anyone who lives in this area or you own one yourself please think about ways of securing your bike and property marking options easily seen online to act as a deterrent. Also for those wishing to spend some money obtain a Tracker.
