  1. Hi all, I am looking to get some recommendations for businesses in the area that people have used for patio doors. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
  2. Can anyone shed any light on when this pub will open? It looks like it's nearly there?
  3. I have already written one recommendation for Saied, this was written before completion of the project and based on the fantastic job he has done pulling what existed before and recommending what we should do with the space. Now everything is complete I'd like to add once again how happy I am with the work Saied has done. If you are a complete novice like me (35 year old guy who has never had a garden before) then what you want is someone who can effectucively advise and consult with you on what you want. Saied did all this and more, he goes over and above at every turn, even planting pot plants and climbers as well as coming back 4 weeks late too check on everything and plant some trees. I also know that if I have any issues Saied will be one phone call away and he'd pop over the have a look, so the service doesn't really end. A wholehearted recommendation, we had out garden gutted and started again, it now looks amazing and my 2 year old love running around in it!
  4. Saied has just completed our garden and he has transformed it. He managed to overcome a variety of unexpected obstacles and worked quickly and efficiently. He is very knowleable about plants too which is great when you are a novice like me! Thank you Saied.
  5. Hi all, I'm after recommendations for a highly professional yet competitively priced landscape gardener to redo my back garden. It's not an overly complicated job - relay the grass and plant a few trees, maybe redo the patio too. I find that whenever people come out to Dulwich the price increases by 30% so I'm really hoping to find someone that won't charge over the odds. Many thanks,
  6. F Smith and Sons... We used them last year to move from Brixton to Dulwich. Very good and reasonably priced.
  7. Hi Jacqui, Would you be able to share the details of the architects you used for your project? Best regards, Dave
  8. Hi all, I am planning on a loft conversion in my Victorian terraced house in West Dulwich. Has anyone used a good architect that also knows the Dulwich Estates/Lambeth system? Any recommendations would be very much appreciated.
  9. Hi all, Just seen this thread and noticed someone has recommended "the sash guy". I used him 6 months ago to fix my sash windows, it was a straight forward job that required him to fix the existing windows. I personally would not recommend him at all, his final price ended up much higher than the original quote charging ?600 for what ended up as 2 hours work. There will be far better businesses out there for the job than "the sash guy".
  10. Hi all, I live in Dulwich and planning on getting a loft conversion done this year. The house is currently a 3 1/2 bed Victorian terrace, the plan is to add 2 bedrooms and a shower room. Does anyone have any recommendations for both architects and builders that have carried out similar work in the area? Quality of work and price are the two main considerations. If anyone on here has had good (or bad) experiences with their loft conversions it would be great to hear it... Have people lived in the property for the full project duration? I have a young daughter to think of... Did the project finish on time and budget? Were thee any unforeseen issues that arose etc etc.. Any advice or help warmly appreciated!
