Had Steve from Perfix round to put some Restrictor hinges on my windows, meaning that if my 4 year old kid were to open a window they would not fall out as the restrictor would only allow the window to open a couple of inches. However, could open it fully if needs be. I think these are a great safety device and gives me peace of mind allowing the kids to play upstairs without me being too paranoid about them falling out and also great on the down stairs windows knowing that I can have the windows open a few inches allowing fresh air in whilst making it trickier for burglers. I wish I had known about this sooner but a friend suggested I had them done and it's not too expensive. Steve came round to change some handles and misted units a year or so ago, and has just fitted the restrictor hinges for me. I have been very pleased with his workmanship and prices. Just had Perfix round to sort out my steamed up windows and to replace a few dodgy handles. My husbands friend recommended this (I was convinced that we would need to replace the whole window which would be extremely costly). His coming back to replace the lock and handles on my French door. I'm not usually one for posting these sort of recommendations but I'm over the moon.
