  1. The police (usually PCSOs) will have been with Charlie when they did monitoring. The police on site, and the volunteers take the reg, speed, make and model of the car. The letter does then come from the police. However it will only be a warning, but held on file such that a further speeding offence will be looked on more severely. rjsmall Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Charlie Smith Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > ----- > > During this two > > hour session 49 vehicles were recorded over 26 > mph > > and one driver was logged at 49 mph. 2. About 12 months ago we finished the complete renovation of our derelict house, took almost 2 years all in! The subcontracted (to the builder) electrician, Chris, did a great job on the rewiring and also putting Cat-5 cable etc in. The other day we had an issue with our outside lights that kept fusing and he came back to fix and wouldn't take any money for the job. He didn't even do that part of the job! He was there about an hour. This is on top of him getting stiffed by our builder who went bankrupt at the end of the job and never paid him for a fair chunk of work on ours and other jobs. Top bloke.. Chris cabbi332 at gmail.com 07854 863977
  3. Been in a few times now and really like it... The fruit and veg selection is good and the fruit is great quality.. A little out of our way but try to pop in at weekends... Now if they only did a weekly veg box..
  4. "Why else would ML put seats in the window so people can be stared at whilst they eat? The Palmerston also has that vibe of stare at me whilst I'm sat outside drinking wine, as does Franklins, and any number of restaurants dotted along the lane" I can imagine an architects conversation when planning the layout... "So, where are we going to put the look at me seats?" FFS Or it could just be that they are trying to cram as many covers into the small spaces available and also to make use of outside space when the weather is good.. Or even that nowadays its not uncommon to eat alone and window/bar seats serve that need very well... Jesus wept....
  5. Still shocking according to friends who went recently... Over an hour wait for a burger and when they complained it deteriorated into being told to leave.. My wife also said there was a whole thread on a facebook page for Crystal Palace mums saying the same thing...
  6. Tell them you are cancelling and moving house.... Then get your partner to sign up under their name and on their bank account... We did that and got the full package with moveies, sports for ?30 a month on a moneysaving expert link.
  7. James - you mention "For non A roads no double yellow lines are required - a tiny local victory for common sense. " Is this a new decision or does that now mean that Barry Road doesn't require yellow lines? Last I heard it did because a neighbour has planning to have a dropped kerb but has to wait on the decision for yellow lines.
  8. As much as I disagree sometimes with Dulwich Fox he has a fair point.. I've ordered GBK/Burger Bear a few times on deliveroo and when it arrives luke warm it's not great. Pizzas the same, if not worse.. Basically don't order them when everyone else wants them so you get a quick delivery! A curry can be zapped in the microwave and is still ok.. The Tommis burger place is the same as the Martlebone one, they are renting kitchen space from Deliveroo in ED.

    Sofas

sofa.com are pretty good and their showrooms have most in stock. Customer service great, and if you have kids they have a little area for them to play..
  10. From the letter it would appear so Uncleglen. "if the proposed site is taken forward, the homes will be council homes at social rent. In addition, half the new council homes would be available to local residents in housing need to make sure that local residents affected by the redevelopment get a fair deal"
  11. To be built on the garages that are there. Proposal phase at the moment as part of the drive to build new affordable housing. Will try to upload letter later.
  12. That is shocking! I wouldn't even pay for any of it, and have them rectify at their own cost. I wouldn't accept a lower charge either. Tiling, bathrooms, grout... Its one of those things that you look at every day and will get annoyed about (at least I would!)
  13. Did a wifi extender and then realised the real issue is that the steel beams and foil backed plasterboard used during our extension pretty much destroyed wifi and mobile reception! I'd actually suggest a BT Broadband extender that uses your electric circuits to feed broadband to an additional wifi/Ethernet point you plug in to a plug socket.. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00LHV9E0I/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1468428187&sr=8-2&pi=SX200_QL40&keywords=bt+hotspot&dpPl=1&dpID=41U2sL4xw0L&ref=plSrch Works amazingly well and you get 2 outlets... Usually a good deal on Amazon... Failing that you can have my BT wifi extender for a 15 quid! https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00P7XV00O/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1468428277&sr=8-1&pi=SY200_QL40&keywords=bt+wifi+extender&dpPl=1&dpID=41q34hHXsYL&ref=plSrch

    Stunned

For a while Louisa I thought your account was hacked.. Fair play for saying it though.. As POUS says, the press have a massive hand in this deception, but so do the Remain camp for conducting such a woeful campaign of fear. It ended up being an arms race of ridiculous statements..

    Stunned

i am well and truly stunned now...
  16. Ahhhh!! What's happened to Namaste?! I took a recommendation on another thread for them from Seabag and have never looked back... Thought it was just the website down the other week..
  17. No, there is an 8.10 from Peckham Rye to Blackfriars, it terminates there on its own platform. The 8.01 comes in and is rammed often to the point of not being able to get on... Same for the 8.16 train that rund to Luton... The 8.10 comes in and there are usually seats.... There was an odd one like that from Sydenham Hill I used to get which was a perfect train! Always had seats...
  18. Grammer? To slightly burn one's grammar? Signed...
  19. I think the main reason is that in order to expand to new postcodes Deliveroo needs a volume of restaurants to make it worthwhile. If they are struggling to get sign ups from restaurants, SE27 being an example, then they will try this approach. In the case of SE22 I think they believe that they need more restaurants to give customers more choice and more reason to keep coming back to the service. http://techcrunch.com/2016/04/28/soul-kitchen/ http://postandparcel.info/72695/news/deliveroo-unveils-roobox/
  20. Re: Yoobi and Tommi Burger on Deliveroo... It would appear that Deliveroo themselves are taking on commercial properties and building out kitchens (i.e. the space they have off Melbourne Grove). They are then subleasing these to restaurants they have on their books to test the water in areas they can't service.
  21. I found there to be quite a difference in the quotes we got from 3 local shops and one further afield (for 5 bedrooms, landing and 2 staircases). The differences in sq ft measured were quite significant, 30% difference between smallest and largest, this surprised us the most. On top of that some didn't charge for fitting but charged through the nose for grippers, bars and underlay. Those that were cheap on the above items also charged per sq ft for fitting.. And they all charged a different amount (list price or reduced for the actual carpet. I'd get a few more quotes from the usual suspects... Lordship Lane, EJ Carpets etc etc... We spoke to Jim referenced above but in the end decided to go via one shop so that if there was anything wrong with either carpet or fitting we only had to speak to one company. What is the sq ft/mtr of your 2 bedrooms?
  22. Poor customer service (its a mixed bag here but I had the very bottom of the scale) https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.gardenbuildingsdirect.co.uk https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.kybotech.co.uk Also - poor quality in my opinion. Tigersheds are a much sturdier product. Edited: to add https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.tigersheds.com
  23. second Tiger Sheds... I'd steer clear of BillyOh..
  24. Sue - what happened?! I just settled down to read the latest developments in the Pat and Jess breakup and it's been deleted!
