  1. I'm always impressed by people with these gadgets, the guy in Ruskin Park is amazing. I'm thinking of buying some collapsible ones, anyone have recommendations? Not sure if the hoop thing is essential. Anyone know? Thanks
  2. Redjam, I think you must be a very caring parent. However I can tell you now my husband never once did any of these things, and I only did a very occasional assembly once a year. I never took forgotten things in. Never had a sick child to collect etc. But part of that was working in town and not being available. I can't help but think that the more available you are the more you are called upon. Of course I know lots of parents that have also had to do all these additional journeys. You are not alone.
  3. After some research , I think my big mistake was putting the compost in a discrete shady corner of the garden. Thats why it takes so long to breakdown, its too cold. There is a gap in the market for a beautiful compost heap container that we can seal and put in the sun.And will not get stolen/ vandalized. ............
  4. Since WFH and all meals and food waste is at home, our compost heap has grown quickly. Especially as so many containers and packaging say compostable. I need to empty the compost onto the raised beds asap. Our cone/cylindrical shaped compost bin does not lend itself to being easily insulated. I'd be interested to see how others are getting on.
  5. I have been reading about hot composters, which are not cheap, but sound like a quick way of processing our compost. Has anyone used/ bought one? I wonder if they are as good as they sound?
