Carpet Supplier and Fitter - Dulwich Carpet Company
1st Timer replied to Stephen Tozer's topic in Reviews
Another recommendation for Stephen, he was brilliant at communication and advising us what was best for our flat, he came on time and did a brilliant job, the carpet looks great and Stephen left the place tidy and clean with no marks on our freshly painted skirting and walls. -

Advice on double buggies for 18month old and newborn please!
1st Timer replied to megmj's topic in The Family Room Discussion
i used the new mountain buggy duet v3 it fitted in small spaces and all doors but seemed cheaply made and to put the seat and bassinet on was quiet tricky. Ended up taking it back as i didn't get on with it, the wheels kept clicking and got a puncture and then went for the ub vista and it is amazing, seems great quality so easy to change to double and singe, a great bassinet that you can use over night and really nice to push and good size basket even when in a double and easy to collapse into the car. I have 18m gap -

@pugwash that is incredibly annoying for you @kidkruger i will probably try that @loz fair point i probably am, where i use to live in ED we had the same and it wasn't ever a problem as people respected driveways and never parked over them. Where I am now it appears not to be the case. Did have permission but it was done probably 50 years ago so no lines then. @B&G good point I might do that @robbin I'll let you know! Thanks for everyones feedback -
How to get a car moved that is over your drive??
1st Timer replied to 1st Timer's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
@Abe_froeman Of course I do but we have a narrow drive way so only one of the cars in the household fits in the drive way and the other car fits across it, if I was to allow southwark permission to ticket our driveway we would have to pay to have our own car over the drive way. -

Thanks just called them and they said we have to get given a form to sign which allows the council permission to ticket anyone who parks over our drive, however that will mean we then cannot park over our drive as they will ticket us!!! So we are powerless. -

does a motor bike count? It's so annoying we only just moved the car out the way to have space for the van as we are having work down and now we are having to pay for the van to park in a bay thanks to this persons car. The other week someone parked across the drive for three days I am getting so tired of this! Just called that number on the link, and we have to get given a form to sign which allows the council permission to ticket anyone who parks over our drive, however that will mean we then cannot park over our drive as they will ticket us!!! So we are powerless. -

Can anyone recommend a good, local pest control company?
1st Timer replied to Danco's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I second the K&O they are great, they give you a time slot and then call when they are 30mins away so you don't have to wait in, they have helped us with the small golden moths and mice. Office:020 8778 1557 Emergency:07940 751 255 http://www.kandopestcontrol.co.uk -

Bin Waste Not Taken Help needed for Southwark
1st Timer posted a topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Advice wanted, the green bin was not emptied on Friday 27th May I contacted them via email online as I only noticed after their phone lines had closed. So i filled in their online form and then answered various emails. They stated that they could not empty the bin as there was a vehicle blocking after asking for proof and as to why this has not been a problem for the brown bin that day or for a whole year they said they would take it up to three working days. So for three days I have not used our drive way just incase they emptied the bin which has been tricky as I live on a busy road so with a baby and trying to park near the house has been difficult. Tuesday-Thursday has come and gone and so I called them at 9.30 today and spoke to one person who could not help and transferred me to complaints where the line went dead, called again and got the direct number to call. Called complaints and got told they were to busy and to try another time the line went dead. Emailed and got a reply saying that they wouldn't collect it as a vehicle was blocking it, if you read the other emails below they already told me they would collect the bin in three working days. Called this afternoon and finally got transferred to a supervisor who was helpful and explained that he would try to get them to collect it and get back to me, he just called to say there is nothing he can do until Monday and he still doesn't know if they will collect it before Friday 10th June. On Friday 27th May the bin was full. We have taken some rubbish to my parents bin who live near by but still horrible to have smelly rubbish in the car. If I wait until 10th June I will have to put the rubbish on the pavement as the bin is full which I am sure will attract the foxes. The nappies smell awful after such a long time in the bin so if the rubbish gets pulled all over the floor by the foxes what am I to do, I am supposed to clear up the rubbish or is it the council? Any ideas of how to get them out to empty the bin?? -
I have just finished a course with Jelly Belly's pregnancy fit class. It was brilliant, very informative, and extremely small class sizes so they can tailor exercises for individuals which is extremely helpful especially if like me you have SPD. They also do post natal classes too. If you are thinking of doing an exercise class I would strongly recommend this class as it is not to full on but just right to keep you on track during pregnancy and strengthen your core! http://www.jellybellypt.com/services/pregnancy-fit/
