Just in Shropshire 🏡

I normally vote Lib Dem and will continue to do so.

Yes, I think people who don’t use their food waste bin are less likely to vote Lib Dem or Green or Labour as they think it’s a woke type of thing to do, like solar panels and other renewables.

I expect Reform will end all this nonsense about segregating waste, bagging dog poo. Your neighbour will have quite a few parts of the country that they can move to without all this tut-tutting.
Yes, what is Reform’s populist position on managing home food waste?

The council does not really lead by example…. I saw a collection on Rye Lane where everything was put together! Ok, it’s food traders rubbish so not everything will be clean enough to be recycled blah blah blah but still…. Food scraps, wooden pallet, plastic crates and cardboard boxes were crushed together in the general bin lorry …😠
Rye Lane is Peckham Rye not East Dulwich, so most likely not relevant here. It depends where you draw your boundaries.

It’s not right. I’m going to contact Neil Coyle as he’s the MP for Southwark and Old Bermondsey - so he can liaise with Southwark Council to get more people using their food recycling bins. Like my neighbour across the road.

Quite enjoyed it on Sunday!
-
But I thought that’s what we pay council tax for - so we put our food waste in the food waste bin and the council comes and collects it!
-
I know they eat food as they get a Tesco delivery every week. So they must have food scraps.
-
The food waste bins were collected this week but they definitely didn’t put theirs out. I might put a note through their letterbox.

My neighbours across the road are not using their food waste bin - I presume they just put food waste in their normal bin! Whereas I always use my food waste bin and it’s regularly filled up.

Cardinal Tagle - most interesting. Cardinal Parolin a safe choice maybe?

Mick said he can help move the fence too! Thanks for that idea Malumbu.

£30k in cash. All above board. My friend, Mick, from The Castle, who lives near a solicitor’s office drew up the contract (on a yellow legal pad) so it’s all bona fide.
-
I offered to buy my neighbour’s garden as I could do with a bigger garden. They’d still have some patio left. I offered a reasonable large wad of cash (in a good quality envelope) and a contract of sale printed on yellow legal paper from the Post Office but they’re not interested.

I love the Guardian and the Observer - I’m intrigued to see what the 🐢📰 version will be like. I read the daily iPad digital editions of Guardian / Observer.
-
The last Guardian version of The Observer is this Sunday. Will anybody read the new Tortoise version? They’ve been quiet about publicising it or saying how you might subscribe to it or anything practical like that.

A liberal leaning current affairs magazine!

Timothy Taylor’s Landlord 🍺 as is advertised in Prospect!

If anyone’s interested, I’m currently in The Gowlett drinking Landlord 🍺 and eating 🍕

I normally vote Lib Dem so I don’t want to vote Reform. I’m a liberal European internationalist (mostly) vegetarian inclusive ethical person.
