  2. At the risk of continuing an argument that is going absolutely nowhere, LET ME ASK AGAIN: Could this have been a racist incident? The fact that few are prepared to answer YES IT IS A POSSIBILITY BUT UNLIKELY is interesting - unlike Becks, the first respondant. Most are answering NO. NEVER. WHAT AN OUTRAGEOUS THOGHT. HOW DARE I. WHY SHOULD I. HOW INSULTING, ETC. ETC. AGAIN YES THE EVIDENCE IS SLIM/LOW/WHATEVER. But its's a possibility? At this stage note that my voice is getting smaller- I just don't know how to decrease the size of typing?(6):'(B):-S:-$B)
  3. I give up getting any kind of sense from ALL of you. This feels like a school playground. "Nanaananana- it doesn't matter what you say or how much you deny, we know what we know" No bloody wonder, race is not discussed rationally in this country. What's wrong with a discussion about the possibilities? What's wrong if it does exist? As I keep saying, it's clearly far too sensitive an issue. Nuff said

The irritating thing about you in this thread is your sheer bloody-mindedness and refusal to HEAR what I have said in my posts. I am not this lady. I made suggestions (using the word IF). Now, if you think I am extrapolating nonsensical facts from a particular scenario, what the hell do you think you're doing? But the most annoying thing about people like you is your ability to muddy the waters. Did I at any stage state this was definetly racism? Did I not ask for opinions? What's pathetic about that? What's pathetic is YOUR vicious and vehement denials of possible racism. YES! AGREED! It is a very weak possibility but hey it's still possible. O.K! I most definetly am not back-tracking. REREAD my original post!!!!!

  6. Fair enough. I shall moderate my language accordingly.
  7. Yeah, but he's not, is he? I'm not in dialogue with him, am I?
  8. AND!! IF I was black and IF I was going to play the race card, I AM SURE I could find far more concrete and in-your-face examples of racism. Please let's credit people with a smidgen of intelligence here. IN CASE YOU STILL HAVE NOT GOTTEN THE POINT, IT WAS OPINIONS NOT PERSONAL ATTACKS I WAS AFTER. Feel free to pm me for apologies.

  10. Woah, woah. Hold on a minute. No need for personal attacks. Only trying to find out what people thought. Let me REPEAT myself: it was a thought, a possibility, a query that this MAY have been racism. AGAIN, I'm glad those thoughts, possibilities, whatever, are being so strongly negated. No, I am not Becks. No, I am not the lady in question. HOWEVER, isn't it interesting that people are so appalled that racism could have been a reason. Why so sensitive? I'm not sure I'm making myself very clear BUT I most certainly am not playing any particular card- just talking. O.K ????????
  11. Hey HUgenot. As I said in my first posting, I am keen to be disabused of my first notion of racism. Irrespective of colour, she was not the most presentable of people. When other patrons came in they were redirected to seats outside. Look, let's not beat about the bush. Racism exists in all forms. However, this scenario may have been another type of ism - presentationsism? Lookism? Sexism? Sorry, I can't take this thread seriously anymore.
  12. You what? That is way too convoluted for my 2 brain cells But look, i'll try and keep it simple. He was like, just telling us a story for the sake of it....I think
