  1. Hi! I am looking for a nanny share for my daughter, Rosa (born June 2021) with a boy or a girl of similar age, starting late August/early September 2022. I am finishing my PhD (art history) and need hours of roughly 9 am-5 pm 4 days a week. We live in SE5 for the past 7 years, currently right by Brunswick Park, and have a 4-year old in Reception at The Villa. We had a wonderful experience with a nanny share with our oldest and this is why we're interested in a similar setup this time around. Rosa is signed up for The Villa nursery to start in September 2023. She is very easygoing (typical second child...), music-loving, and extremely social. The most important thing for me in the share is a calm, caring, creative environment, and that we don't live too far apart. If any of this sounds like you, then write me an email! I look forward to hearing from you. Very best, Margot
  2. Hi all! I am probably more towards summer (due 9 June), but was early with my first baby, so who knows! I'm writing to enquire if anyone of you fabulous Spring baby mums might have a birth pool lying around they're wanting to sell? I've been too late in booking one and everything is GONE via the official channels online. At 36 weeks I'm quite keen to get one in the house (preferably Mini (165x145), so please do get in touch if you have one/known of anyone who might want to pass theirs on in the very near future. All best Margot
  3. Hello! I'm looking to hire/buy a birth pool (preferably mini size i.e. 165x145). 36 weeks and everything is booked up for the foreseeable future online, so hoping someone in this forum is in the opposite situation from me :-) All best, Margot
  4. Hi! We recently moved to a victorian conversion flat by Brunswick Park (Camberwell) and have a potentially very lovely back garden that needs some assistance. Essentially, there is currently gravel in the centre, a greenhouse which we would like to sell, and a slippery wooden deck. While we're very keen on planting in the side edges on our own, with a toddler we simply don't have time for the rest: laying a (hopefully stone) terrasse, exchanging the gravel for grass, removing the concrete foundation of the greenhouse, removing the wonky back wall (wood), and possibly erect a brick wall instead. So, a pretty full-on project but with no planting/planning needed(except for laying grass). The area is approximately 40sqm. I am very interested in hearing recommendations/offers from anyone who has experience in this field! Very best whishes, Margot
  5. Hi all! Happy New Year :) We're going into the new year with positive spirits and the hope of finding a brilliant, efficient contractor to manage the works to be done in our 3 bed converted Victorian flat. It is too little work to require an architect, but still is more than we can manage ourselves. We would be grateful for any tips or advice. All best, Margot
  6. Hello all! I'm looking for a decent structural engineer to help devise how to open up a bearing wall in our Victorian flat. Any recommendations? Best, Margot
  7. Apart from being an very likeable and trustworthy person, Saied is a hardworking, effective and knowledgeable gardener. We contacted him to trim an overgrown Virginia Creeper on the front of our 2 floor flat (not an easy feat with no level surface below), and Saied did the job efficiently and neatly. We are very happy with the outcome and would not hesitate to recommend him for any gardening project - he is definitely the person we ourselves will contact in the future. Best, Margot & Yuval
  8. Dear all, We have a tall but rather scrawny boston ivy (I think...) crawling up the front our 3 floor building on Camberwell Grove and would really like to give it some new life. I understand this is best done by quite harsh pruning? In any case, I was hoping to get some advice/recommendations of companies/private pruners who might be able to help us out. Thank you! Warm regards, Margrethe
  9. Hi! My partner and I recently moved to the area and have been trying to find a carpenter over the last two months to create a light and simple shelving system for the niche next to the fireplace in the living room and in the study too. The challenge: the living room niche is 160cm wide and 24cm deep, and we would like the bookshelves not to exceed a thickness of 3cm. Most carpenters we have spoken to insist on 5cm, which won't do. Would anyone know of a good carpenter with an eye for simple, aesthetic solutions that could take on this job? Best, Margot
