  1. We used Daniel at dulwich plumbing and heating when we had a burst pipe on a saturday afternoon, he sorted it out within two hours, and it was a bad leak and was a good price and very professional. His number is 07852 757654
  2. It was a ram raid. They drove a something which fitted throught the bollards into the front grabbed some stuff and ran/drove off.
  3. The hole being cut into the wall at the back is NOT for any deliveries of any type is only for ventilation purposes.
  4. the plan is that all deliveries will come into the store from lordship lane as once the building is done sainsburys have no rear access. i also beleive that they are on target for the opening date.
  5. the planned date for the opening of the store is the december 18th 2009.
  6. I have been misinterpreted somewhat, its not for the food store deliveries merely the initial construction purposes, similar as it is now. but would only be for a short period as everything draws to a close soon. Sorry for the confusement but they will deliver from lordship lane. TThe back area will consist of parking for the flats and a garden etc.
  7. andyxlandells, we have got permission for the flat so at some stage it will be built however when this will happen i do not know.
  8. Due to the merger between the two Companies co-op and somerfield. They decided they didn't want the site and hence it will become a Sainsbury's Local. I'm sure you will hear about the alcohol license in due course
  9. Somerfield has been bought by the co-op and like any other merger that takes place it will take time for them to merge the distribution centres and all of the retail outlets. so they will utilise the economies of scale from adding more shops and therefore more sales and in theory lower costs while they role out a branch by branch re brand. however believe it or not when they bought somerfield they also paid a certain amount for the brand and the goodwill that goes with it which is why they will keep the two of them running side by side for a couple of years which i think they said when the take over went through.
  10. Yes there has and i would estimate three to four months however not having worked with sainsbury's before i am not sure of how quickly they will complete the shop fitting.
  11. Hi sorry i should have said in my original post that i work for the developers, Watmough Brothers Investments, who have owned the site for roughly thirty years haveing bought it from the co-op. Unfortunately due to the nature of completely rebuilding a site internally and adding extensions to the back of the property many people believe that no work has been done when infact there has been alot however not all visable.
  12. Just to keep you all informed, the empty shops just along from the Plough Pub (357-361 Lordship Lane). That have been empty for a large period of time will become a New Sainsburys local store. If anyone has any questions about the site then post them on here or PM me and i will try to help.
  13. Somerfield's definately aren't going into the empty shops near the Plough, so unfourtunately will not be either a co-op or a new somerfield. i have however heard about Sainsbury's looking at it with a view to a new Sainsbury's local.
