  1. Over the years, Peter has done various painting/decorating jobs for us and other flats within our Victorian mansion. He recently returned to do some ceiling work and job was good as always! Peter's professional, friendly, polite, honest and reliable. His work is done to the highest standard, with great attention to detail. He always makes sure you're happy with the work (which it always is). His prices are also very reasonable. We happily leave him alone as he gets on with the job! Hard working, trustworthy and always tidy. Highly recommend him without question. 2. Hi, I'm looking for someone to take up carpet + take it to the rubbish tip. The size is one small hallway & medium/small sized bedroom (including lifting wardrobe, bed and chest of drawers with assistance. Please PM me and include cost. Thank you.
  3. Does anyone know any areas nearer to Dulwich Park where you can find elderflower? Thanks in advance!
  4. I highly recommend Andy Burke. We were recommended him from the forum and he instantly called me back to discuss coming to fix our leaking tap. As well as supplying us with the tap, which was very decently priced and great quality, his prices are very fair and his communication impeccable. He adhered to the social distancing rules, was friendly, and got the job done really quickly. His number is 07983688451 Charlotte
  5. I can also highly recommend Andy. His prices are very fair, got on with the job, as well as communicating really well before we had him round. He came to see us this week to replace a leaking kitchen tap and did a great job, as well as supplying us with the tap. Charlotte
  6. I thought I'd put a post out for anyone seeking masks in the Dulwich area, so you don't waste your time venturing to places previously mentioned which have currently run out & still have some. I went to pick up some extra masks for my neighbours this morning and these places have CURRENTLY RUN OUT: FARMERS (HARDWARE STORE) Lordship Lane DULWICH DIY, Lordship Lane. EAST DULWICH FOOD & WINE, Dulwich Road. The place YOU CAN STILL GET THEM is : SOGIM PHARMACY, 102 Lordship Lane (limited to 2 per a person). They had a good box full this afternoon, COSTING ?2.49 each.
  7. Thanks Bidvid, I went there on the chance it was open as stated on google and it was. FYI anyone, very long queue but I was there around 1pm and it probably seemed longer due to spacing between people! Took around 20mins/30mins max I reckon.
  8. Can anyone confirm if the post office is open today? and, if so, anyone seen what the queue is like? Thanks.
  9. Hello, I live on Sydenham Hill (Cox's walk) and do not need to self-quarantine. I am able to support anyone else in need of help in the local area with shopping, dog walking, picking up medicine etc. If anyone is in need of assistance, or know of anyone who might be, please do PM for my details and i'd be happy to help. There's also the Forest Hill / Sydenham Hill What's App groups and I'm delivering leaflets in the area tomorrow. Thanks, Charlotte
  10. tasha1, i'm going to Sainsburys tomorrow and could visit her? Or we can speak on the phone tomorrow and arrange the best time. It's only 10 minute walk from me. Peckhamnearbe, where do I find the Forest Hill dedicated group? Facebook?
  11. Hello, I live on Sydenham Hill, just up from the Horniman museum. Happy to help anyone in isolation and wondered if there's any groups already set up for this area?
  12. I'm looking for a Handyman to install some hardboard in my hallway. I have seen lots of good recommendations for Aston - but no contact information? Just wondering why no one has added any website, number or email?
  13. We've had an issue with a dripping tap for a while and would like someone to take a look at it. We were hoping we could change the washers but it may make sense to replace the whole tap. Any local (and reasonably priced) recommendations would be appreciated. Kind regards, Charlotte
  14. Hello, I'm looking for a handyman / someone who can measure, cut to size and install hardboard/MDF to the inside of our hallway cupboards due to gaps in floorboards to the downstairs flat. Needs to be sealed off due to a slight moth problem (note, we are having the whole areas moth treated as well before we lay a new carpet in the main hallway - but will probably just leave hardboard inside the cupboards - just need to make sure the edges are sealed. Feel free to contact me with questions and hope to get some recommendations asap! Thanks, Charlotte
  15. Be great if anyone can recommend anyone local as I can't seem to find any businesses and the one I did get through to can't do first floor balcony but said there are people who can if they have access to a tap. The balcony is very large, more like a patio, but on a first floor. Thanks!
