  1. On Sunday I ordered a Deliveroo from Gourmet Burger Kitchen. They claimed not to be able to find me even though they'd delivered to me before, and I was also standing on the street looking for them and texting them! They then said they'd left the food - well it was nowhere on the whole street. They are now charging me for the delivery. At GBK they said there'd been lots of complaints like this and when I look on Trustpilot, loads of people saying their food was taken or never delivered. Anyway be warned. And if anyone has tips on how to get my money back let me know. Have lodged a complaint! I'll never use them again.
  2. Robbie has been missing for over three months now, the last sighting of him was on the Isle of Wight and there has been no sighting of him or record of any financial activity since then. We are all hoping he is safe and sound. Thanks for all your good wishes and should you have any information please contact the police.

  4. Sadly Robbie is still missing. The last sighting of him was on the Isle of Wight. I will post an update if I hear anything. Thanks all
  5. Thanks everyone, yes he was last seen on the Isle of Wight. Robbie is a loving father and husband - this is not at all usual for him and he is having mental health issues which is why his family and friends and police are so concerned. The best think is if the police can find him to ascertain he is safe and well. Hopefully this lead on the Isle of Wight will turn him up soon. http://www.brixtonblog.com/missing-library-campaigner-robbie-gibson-seen-isle-wight/38400

  11. Ridiculous that a load of people on this forum instead of being sympathetic towards your plight have been trying to stick up for the dog!Hey guess what, a load of pitbull types have actually killed children and while you may all know of some lovely ones that you were brought up with etc etc, the fact remains the pitbull crosses and associated breeds are extremely powerful dogs that need responsible owners. Sorry but a couple of blokes that attack someone over a perceived slight to their dog doesn't sound like responsible owners to me. Sounds like thugs who would be more than happy to use their dog as a weapon. Yes it's not the dog's fault what they are but it is entirely fair for the people who had the awful experience in the park to tell people about it and how they perceived the dog without being ticked off! Honestly it's pathetic.
  12. I would agree with the last post. I am still breastfeeding and fully appreciate the benefits of doing so BUT at the start I wasn't able to get her latched on and I was terrified of having to FF cos although I knew it was OK to do so, I'd been terrified by various poster campaigns. So while you should of course spell out the benefits of breastfeeding, I'd say try to do it in such a way that doesn't make formula seem like cyanide! My little girl takes both quite happily now. ANd there are definitely advantages to being able to feed her both ways! Also saying something like it can be hard to start with but this is the support that's available. I felt like the midwives had little time to spend with me when I was having difficulty latching her on and I needed to talk through why it wasn't working rather than being manhandled. BUt the breastfeeding counsellor at Kings was great plus the breastfeeding cafes too.
  13. ONe thing - LANSINOH cream. Put it on all the time - an absolute god send. Also go and get help with the latch at a breastfeeding cafe (there's a good one at the Peckham Pulse) or try seeing the breastfeeding counsellor at Kings.
  14. I was on the post natal ward for four days. It was fine. The breakfasts are good, the rest not so much! It was kept pretty clean and the staff were mostly good. There was one nurse or something that really annoyed me with an insensitive remark about breastfeeding (I was struggling at the time) but I actually complained at the nurses station and they apologised. It is noisy. So bring earplugs. I found the mornings were the nicest cos the afternoons can get a bit much with all the visitors. ANd get plenty of magazines etc. One tip is try opening your curtains. With your cubicle curtains closed it can get a bit claustrophobic and you don't get to meet the other people on your ward. THey are mums as well and can be alot more sympathetic to talk to then the staff who are all very busy.
