  1. Spot on I beleive this has been covered at length previously Just search SEG or Special Escort Group Its recce's, as the above poster alludes to......
  2. If we still had a Police Station , you could bring it down and plonk it on the counter in front of a wide eyed Desk Sergeant Or bring it in to Target Arms on Monday morning......oh wait, i forgot If it really is empty and inert, its probably worth a few sheets
  3. When you say found....... Did you dig it up , or was it above ground, in the shed for example ? If the former, I would inform the authorities. They will contact the Army EOD chaps, and you may face the prospect of your garden being re-landscaped for free It may be part of a war time cache Is the inside empty ? If not, step away and I refer you to the above advice If it is, its probably a relic souvenir Your call

Chinooks never appeared, just the Red Arrows, and HEMS (although I think they were otherwise engaged) Low cloud cover and defence cuts Was expecting the Battle of Britain Memorial Spit, Hurricane & Lanc, but no joy
  5. He's only gone and moved it.....

  8. If the Range Rover was a liveried Met vehicle, then it will have been the Special Escort Group (SEG) on a training run They whizz ahead and dominate the junctions with furious whistling and hand signals I think the idea is that the wheels of the principals vehicle do not stop rolling
  9. Adding this post to say the guys from the old shop & Post Office have been serving the community long before Sainsburys Local appeared. Its previous incumbent was a motor spares outlet Also curious as to why the feverish work on the former Le Moulin place has stalled...... As an aside to the building work abutting the shop in question..... In the middle of last year, i was picking up some dry cleaning from the chap on the other corner, whilst a very large Metropolitan Police vehicle appeared to be delivering re-conditioned bricks to the workmen on site at this place I didn't imagine it because passers by were stopping to look
  10. Nope, not at the time of filming. MP5 carbine standard issue. However, so much more wrong with that that pic On set Police advisor obviously not firearms Mr Nesbitt wouldn't have had to travel too far for that scene....... With this and 'The Misssing' , I imagine he will have to make some more room on his mantlepiece

Cassie has been there for the last 18 years, and i remember her opening Used it to buy the County newspapers to send back to my parents most weeks Reminded me of many a village shop in Ireland when we used to spend the holidays over there Often waited patiently to be served as she chatted to one or two of her customers, as that's how i've been brought up It was a brilliant marketing ploy, as by the time it came to pay for the papers, I would have some black pudding, Emerald sweeties and a can of Cidona picked up as well - Genius ! Will miss it, as for so long it's been part of my routine
  12. Busted......well done forumites, and Sue in particular
  13. 'I wouldn't want to alienate or bore anyone to sleep. ' Congratulations, you have Going in for my Leitrem Observer & Tuam Herald tomorrow....
