  1. Get a pair of jeans that fit you well. Gap do a 'curvy skinny' which I have switched to as their normal skinnies don't work any more. Otherwise if you are prepared to spend a bit more you could try the personal shopper at selfridges or another big dept store? I tried some james jeans there which were very flattering but wasnt prepared to shell out for them. If you are still losing weight though just spend a little on some nice casual clothes. For me it's jeans, tee shirts and some trainers I like. A friend has a 'boob' hoody and I think they look good. Then it's just shower every day (baby on bath mat with a few toys gives me enough time to wash my longish hair) and mascara and eyebrows done if I'm feeling like a pick me up!
  2. Dear Baby, I think we are getting on well but I have some feedback. Some tips on feeding. The milk comes out of the nipple. Not just any bit of the boob you happen to lurch forwards onto. It does not come out of your fist, or the hand that you are covering the nipple with. There are some things that will delay your feed. These include but are not limited to: Pushing the boob away with all your might while straining to reach it with your mouth. No, I'm not sure why this doesn't work either. Putting the nipple in your eye. Let's discuss? Yours sincerely Your [slave]employee
  3. Might be a stupid question but can you go to weigh ins if you just join the online version? My scales are a bit erratic.
  4. Erm.... Bit of a cross post sorry! Must learn how to quote. I think it's weird t be asked to bf in another room but I wouldn't be offended I don't think, I'd feel a bit lonely though!
  5. Nah just bill them for your custom made spanx
  6. Hope you find a solution amydown. Sensible suggestion from someone above to give it a couple of months and see how you feel. Just a quick one to say don't judge people for having a no kids policy. It's not arrogance or a bad attitude to exclude kids. Although its fair to say if a couple doesn't have kids when they get married they are likely less aware of how hard it is to go kids free. There are a lot of reasons why a particular venue might be chosen and numbers restricted and it's not always cost. The hardest thing about weddings can be juggling the different expectations of family while still trying to stay sane. I could provide a host of examples from my own weddings but that's not what the thread is about! I would have loved a load of kids at the wedding but had to settle for the hilarious sight of my flower girls rolling down the hill in their party frocks much to the horror of their mother who changed them into shorts and teeshirts pronto!
  7. We had a similar issue when our baby was about 7 weeks old. They offered to make an exception for us but I said no as if they compromised for us they would have to do the same for others and they had enough wedding politics to worry about! In the end we didn't make it,I was gutted to miss it but knew I couldn't leave my baby. If your nanny can come then that's a good idea, I would definitely have done that if the baby could have been in the same hotel as the reception. I agree with you re not taking the kids if they aren't really welcome. Someone brought a child to my (child free) wedding and it was a problem for us in various ways.
  8. Have you tried campervantastic?
  9. We went for a week to Thailand and it was great. It's only 1 flight.
  10. Dulwich girl - working from home saves the commute! I don't think the op is proposing to work from home while looking after the kids. Also I always thought lunch breaks would be better at home. Don't know why.
  11. Do you mean one that you can feed in? If you just mean comfortable for bf boobs, then the freya softcup sports bra is very comfy, no wires, etc. bravissimo do it I think. It isn't very flattering but it keeps your boobs separated and fairly well strapped down.
  12. Yes I am keeping an eye out for teeth just in case!
  13. We bought some metanium yesterday and his bum looks almost normal, so thank you very much for the tip. The difference is incredible. Anyone else going though a green poo / poo every nappy stage, might be worth getting some in, just in case! Otherwise lloyds on north cross road stock it.
  14. We got fudge from hope and greenwood and bulbs in a nice pot I think a nice idea
