I have had an idea in my head for a while now, and I thought I'd test it out on the forum. If, like me, you hate the idea of speed dating and would prefer to get to know someone more slowly and naturally, I have come up with an idea that you may like. I would like to invite six males and six females to a series of four local meet ups, held weekly. I am going to choose Thursday evenings to avoid potential logistical problems. These meet ups would usually be held in a local bar or restaurant, but could be in a quirkier venue depending on the group. I am a local resident, so know a lot of the good places to go. If it is successful, I would hope to do deals with local venues to give discounts and charge a fee for arranging the meet ups.
