  1. I'm a social media strategist, chiefly creating content for television shows like The Great British Bake Off. While I twiddle my thumbs waiting for the new series to air, I thought I'd see if any local businesses are in need of social media consultancy. I've helped a variety of businesses with their digital strategy, tone of voice and social media channels, including The Goldfinger furniture builders, The Pink House interior design, Emma Pake luxury swimwear, Insider Trends retail agency and LuckyTrip travel company. I'd be happy to offer discounted rates / shorter sessions for smaller businesses. If this sounds like you, get in touch at [email protected]. Thanks, Jenny
  2. Hello, I'm a local ED resident with a pop-up restaurant currently at The Shrub and Shutter on Coldharbour Lane. A few of you have mentioned to me in passing that teenage sons and daughters were looking for part-time work so I just thought I'd post here as well as restaurant job-listing sites. We're looking for a Kitchen Porter to help us over December. Shifts will usually be Thurs-Sat 5:30pm-11:30pm at London Living Wage. We need someone from Thurs 28th Nov ? Sat 21st Dec, but do get in touch even if you can't start right away or can't cover all shifts. Experience is great, but more important qualities are reliability and a willingness to get stuck in. There will also be occasional optional extra shifts, but these are only if the KP wants to take them on. Please send applications to [email protected]. A CV is great if you have one, but not essential. It would be great to know which shifts you can cover and any experience (paid or unpaid) that shows reliability. Best to email any Qs rather than post them here for a speedy response. Thanks! Jenny
  3. Hello, I'm looking for recommendations for builders who could fix the steps outside our house. Rounded concrete steps leading up to the house that have crumbled away. Thanks! Jenny
  4. Hi, I have a local pop-up restaurant business and we're in need of freezer space for four tray's worth (around 600) brioche buns that went unsold after an event. Really don't want to waste them! Do any local businesses have any space free, and if so would you charge and how much? Thanks, Jenny
  5. *veggie menu available upon request, please notify us at the time of booking
  6. Hi everyone, I live on Upland Road and just wanted to tell you that my pop-up restaurant, fodder, has arrived in East Dulwich after a sell-out run at Borough Wines on Essex Road. Our chefs are both alumni of Simon Rogan's Michelin-starred restaurant Fera at Claridge's, and fodder follows in his footsteps by using sustainable, local and seasonal produce to create fine (but fun) dining. The usual full length tasting menu costs ?35 per person, but we're offering a special price for Tuesdays and Wednesdays when the chefs are running an exciting development kitchen to test out all their new ideas. You'll be able to have 2 courses for ?20 or 3 for ?25. Up first is: - Ox cheek, celeriac and smoked egg yolk 'ravioli' - Crispy lamb shoulder, squash and sheep's yoghurt - Buttermilk mousse, damson and Earl Grey Platform 1's amazing wine list will of course also be on offer. I've put links to some of our press at the bottom, where you can also drool over photos of the food. Bookings can be made here: www.platform1.london. If you have any questions, please do contact us on [email protected], and follow our Instagram @fodderpopup. It would be great to see some friendly local faces! Thanks, Jenny and the fodder team http://tikichris.com/2017/06/08/fodder-borough-wines/ https://www.bighospitality.co.uk/Article/2017/09/08/Chef-Michael-Thompson-opens-month-long-pop-up-Fodder-in-Canonbury https://www.instagram.com/p/BY1SjrNFslw/?hl=en&taken-by=felicityspector
  7. Hello, Apologies it's not ED, but as it's in the area and the lead actor is an ED resident I hope I can get away with it. There's a new devised play for under 4s at the Clapham Omnibus theatre. It's a sensory experience exploring what colour is. More information here: http://www.omnibus-clapham.org/events/colour-3 I look forward to seeing some of you there! Jenny x

  9. Hello, I am an East Dulwich based tutor specialising in the 7+ and 11+ assessments, English Literature up to A2 Level, Theatre and Screen Studies up to undergraduate level and General Essay Writing Techniques. I graduated from The University of Manchester with a First Class degree in Drama. I was nominated for an award for academic excellence after gaining an average mark of 74% ? the second-highest in the year. My dissertation, which applied Jungian philosophical theories to film, achieved a grade of 80%. My degree has prepared me well for tutoring in theatre and film studies to all levels. I would also be thrilled to tutor English Literature up to A level. I adore reading and finished my English Literature A-level with an A grade. I also excel at teaching general essay-writing techniques for any subject. I have recently completed a comprehensive course on 7+ and 11+ tutoring techniques. I have experience in tutoring a variety of ages, from 11 to 22, including students with special educational needs. I am a gregarious, imaginative and creative tutor. I aim to impart my own enthusiasm for a subject to my students by encouraging them to explore ideas in a safe environment. I am an advocate of active learning, firmly believing that exciting lessons which engage the pupil in creative ways enhance the learning process. To facilitate this, I tailor my lessons to each pupil by identifying their interests and devising activities based around them. I have a passion for travel and have visited six continents. When not tutoring, I run my own theatre company. Please contact me with any queries, for a chat about your tutoring needs and for my rates. I will also consider nanny and babysitting work.
