  1. There is great shop on Brockley Road, called Revive My Device. They just did an excellent job on my cracked iPad screen. https://revivemydevice.com/
  2. Thanks, we hadn't even considered Deptford Green. 2,200 metres away from our house. Did your friends have any problem getting in, or were they a lot closer than that? Also, anyone on here with kid's from Ivydale, where did they all end up?
  3. We live just over the Rye in Nunhead and we have a son who will be applying for secondary schools next year. Can anyone from Nunhead around Ivydale Road please can you give us an idea of what secondary schools pupils are applying for. I understand the closest is the Harris Boy?s School but our son would really prefer a co-ed if it at all possible and we really don?t want to waste our choices on schools we have no chance of getting into. Many thanks
  4. Just passed the new Ivydale site on Inverton Road and a group of Irish travellers are occupying the site. We have informed Southwark, but no-one is apparently available on weekends.
  5. Our BT Infinity has been acting odd for the last couple of weeks but as soon as I reboot the box and router it is fine. Anyone else getting the same results?
  6. I have a slimline dishwasher I need installed into a fitted kitchen. The space it is going is currently a cupboard so it needs the door removed and baseboard cut to size as well as plumbed and wired in. It is going right next to the sink and there is an electical switch for a dishwasher already on the wall so hopefully pretty straightforward for someone with both plumbing and a bit of joinery skills. Ideally I would like it done before next week. Anyone available?

  8. We were with Virgin since they began in ED but the service became so unreliable it was a joke. We switched to 02 and are paying about ?25 for unlimited Broadband, unlimited telephone calls to landlines and the line rental. Just before we left Virgin our bills were coming in at well over ?50. We did miss the Virgin catch-up TV service but we got a Freesat TV which is just introducing BBC, ITV and Channel 4 On Demand so it is not much different to the Virgin service. To be honest the Virgin On Demand service was out of order at least 25% of the time anyway. Plus Freesat has all the HD channels for free. The Broadband download speeds where we live are not as good as they were with Virgin (area not cabled) but in 8 months and it hasn't gone off a single time. Also, Quidco has a ?50 cash back offer on O2 and it is all free for 3 months. If you get any grief regarding line rental, sign up with the Post Office, get a line rental and tel. number then transfer to O2. BT wanted a whole years line rental subscription, despite telling them we were getting it all through O2 - Post Office lets you cancel after a month.
  9. http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2010/apr/18/henry-porter-manifestos-election This from a left-wing newspaper... how anyone can even consider voting Labour after all these years astounds me.
  10. Last night some tosser decided to steal the silver Oxford covers from our two motorbikes. If by any chance you saw someone with dirty, wet, petrol stinking covers stumbling around Rodwell Road last night, pass on my kind regards. You are probably the same person who took the kickstarts last year. Your mother must be so proud. Anyone out there with covers, can I suggest you paint a stupid big house number on them to discourage this. Apparently they have value to someone...
  11. Hi, Me and the missus have a Vespa each and have just discovered that someone has decided to steal both of our kickstart pedals. Has anyone else had the same thing happen and does anyone know what the point is as they are only worth a tenner? Never had to kickstart mine before anyway so no great loss, it's all just a bit annoying.
  12. We live on Rodwell Road - what does he look like?
