  1. Found her!! She had been stuck on the roof! She had gone up there hunting, then stuck in the winds and we had our velux closed! Phew!
  2. Hello, we haven't seen our tortoiseshell cat, Poppy, for over a day, which is really unlike her. Please see photo attached. We're in the Scutari Road/Mundania road area at the bottom of Peckham Rye Park. I think she hangs out in the gardens near Athenlay football ground. Please check your sheds and garages as it's been really windy and I'm worried she may be trapped somewhere. We have one very worried 12 year old here! Many thanks, Claire
  3. Hello, we need a plumber to remove our current front room bay radiator and put up a new one. Can anyone recommend a good reliable and reasonable plumber? TIA Claire :-)
  4. Hello, we have bought a bendable curtain track and curtains for our curved bay window in the front room, but we don't feel qualified to put it up! Please let me know if you feel able to do this job for us and PM me your experience and quote. TIA Claire
  5. I was informed of it ages ago, I think from a leaflet through the door. We got early bird tickets for Monday and my friend informed me that she recently got cheap tickets for being a local resident. The Monday gig, Jam on the Rye, is child friendly and has a children's tent with activities. Basically, if you can't beat them, join them!
  6. Hello, we had a sofa delivered today. The delivery guys tried to get it up the stairs, but couldn't get it around the turn. So, I now have a sofa in the hall which they are saying I should send back. I think that it could be done by someone who knows what they're doing. Can you help? Please PM me. Please give me a quote. Thanks, Claire
  7. It was a photography campaign. People submitted their photos of ED and they were all displayed in the gallery on Northcross Road. The ones on the banners are the winners. I think it was a very sweet thing thing to do and the winners must be proud. :-)
  8. Hello, We tried Timber Windows of Dulwich as they are a new local business and the quality of their products looked good. They're a family business who have going for some time. We had painted timber bi-fold doors fitted in March. We are so pleased with the product, they look fantastic and the mechanism is great. The overall service, from John in the office to the installation was very professional. They took out and discarded with the old doors and fitted the new ones in a day. (With most online doors you have to remove the old doors and prepare the gap). Recommend!! Claire
  9. I am a educational specialist who will be writing reports each week. I am looking for a reliable and efficient proof reader. Please PM me any questions and your rates if interested. Thanks, Claire
  10. She looked into the jury's eyes and turned them to stone.
  11. Through the Trees on Zenoria St (off Lordship Lane co-op side) if a great shop with affordable and cute clothing, really recommend it.
  12. I live on Scutari Road and have 2 children. I know humps are unpopular, but they work: it is as simple as that. A clear illustration of this was when the humps were completely removed during the resurfacing. - cars were hammering up there at 40, perhaps even 50mph. The ones that were there before were negotiable, whereas the new ones are more effective in actually slowing the traffic down. If I had my way, I would like to see the road being blocked at Mundania to stop the road being used as a rat run at all.
