  1. We are looking to sell our flat - can anyone give advice on who has been good recently? We've had. Ages valuations and I think I know what a realistic price is going to be, just want to make sure we are.going with someone who is 'on it'. Has anyone been on with two agents?
  2. We are wanting a small front wall done - any recommendations?
  3. I'm looking for gloss vinyl flooring for our kitchen - any suggestions on where to go?
  4. We are going to get the floors sanded at the front of our flat, what do people generally do with their furniture? Squeeze it all into one room? Our flat is small and there are a few items which will be pretty heavy, and we have a two year old!
  5. Any thoughts on Dulwich Wood Primary? We are looking to buy a property for which Dulwich Wood is the nearest school, but it seems to be one of the few schools which is not over-subscribed, and I'm wondering if there is a reason why it isn't very popular...
  6. We are a ground floor flat in a Victorian Conversion and I'm thinking of getting spotlights in our hallway. I spoke to one handyman who thought we would have to have a false ceiling put in - has anyone had this done? I think it might be a bit of a hassle, or does anyone have shallow lights they could recommend? I found these which I thought might not be too deep, and hopefully we could get away with our current ceiling: http://birco-lighting.co.uk/products/philips-45090-31-16-albireo-white-led-4w-recessed-adjustable-spot-downlights-3-pack-450903116?utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=googlepla&variant=14809478727 Any advice from people who've had this done would be appreciated!
  7. Any recommendations for a good local handyman? Probably first start off with half a day or a full days work, with potentially a week long project later on. The person we normally use is booked up until October!
  8. Thanks, I'll certainly go along to the Peckham Rye stay and play. Anyone who is interested I'd love to meet for coffee or a trip to the park. Almost all our Mum friends are at work, so am really trying to meet new people. PM me if interested and I'l give you my contact details.
  9. Thanks so much for the replies, really useful. Picke - what playgroups did you go along to?
  10. Thanks so much for the suggestions Maria, I'll definitely take a look at those. I just have a little 1 year old.
  11. I've recently become a SAHP after leaving a job which I couldn't justify staying in to just cover childcare costs and I'm interested to hear about other peoples experiences. Despite going to what seems like every baby group in ED I haven't yet met anyone in the same situation. Are there any other SAHP's in ED?! Really what I'm finding difficult is trying to 'cover' what my little one is missing from nursery - messy play, socialising etc
