I'm all in favour of the current champions league format, but it would still be very odd if a team like Spurs were to win it having never been champions of their own league in the last 40 years. It would be good for Spurs but bad for a competition that seeks to find the best team in europe.

It still happens apparently. The method of exorcism is still taught to priests. There are religious crackpots who think some people are possessed by the devil. Does any sensible person believe this? Surely this is just an example of how religious beliefs can warp peoples thinking. The Exorcist movie was based upon true events of a "real" exorcism (exaggerated of course).

After uploading my golf pics to facebook last night I awoke to hear on the radio that Kate Middleton has rushed to St Andrews to see the great man in action. Yes regalia, it was absolutely freezing. 5 degress but feels like -1 sort of weather. And strong winds on sunday. I wore a tshirt, a golf shirt, a normal jumper, a wind proof lined jumper and a waterproof top. 5 layers. Who ate all the pies. Went onto the road on the Road Hole and into the "Valley of Sin" on the 18th, all the tourist traps.

I thought it was quite funny. But I think the reality is England are bad losers. "Don't let them beat us in our own backyard and have a party into the bargain."

And Rangers score a late away goal and are through to play PSV. Good news for Rangers but good news for Celtic too if it keeps them travelling round europe a bit longer.... Thats a good win though against Sporting.

I'll be hoping England beat France this weekend anyway as it all adds to the expectation for Dublin. Sport is as much about the bulid up to a big event as the event itself.

I dont think England will have any problem with Scotland at Twickenham so that makes it easier with 3 home fixtures and only 2 away. It dowm to France and Ireland then.....still expect England to lose one game. "Ireland look spent ....." Not sure about that, they have been missing some key players and some others have been rusty but I'd expect them to start favourites in Dublin irrespective of what happens against France. England not out of third gear implies they have another couple of gears, but we will have to see. It could be another false dawn. They are certainly better than they were. I'm happy to see a decent England team, but a lot of it is expectation at the moment.

I'm not completely convinced by England. Too early to say how good they are after 2 six nations games and the autumn internationals were confusing. They certainly look on the right track, finally. They have three tough games left so if they win the GS they will have done it the hard way. Apart from the benefit of avoiding Paris they have had to travel to Cardiff, Edinburgh and Dublin. I'm not sure they will have the consistency to win all the remaining games, my guess is they will lose one and it depends who they lose to that will dictate whether they win the championship.

I thought 4 games was about right. Not disagreeing for the sake of it but they were both at each other verbally until the head butt, which was not more than a nudge to be honest.
