Come along, you will have a fantastic time. At the last steaming day in April a number of people came who use the forum and they were so impressed they asked if I can spread the word. It is the most extravagant of all the grand pumping stations which is not well known. If you need to use public transport, there is a minibus to and from Plumstead Railway station from 10am and then approximately every half hour as there are some engineering works further down the line.
