Anyone had any experience dealing with DE in refurb application? Our application has not been granted but not because there is any issues with our design proposal. They are not granting based on our neighbour (ground floor flat) windows not being in line with scheme guidelines. Something totally beyond my control. Looking for advice and help.

Hi, I have a small limited company that require preparation and filing of annual financial statements for the last financial year ended 30b April 2017. The company for this year only traded for 6 months comprising director/contractor income and mainly salary, dividends and travel expense. Hi, Am looking to refurb my flat in stages due to budget and living with a little toddler. We have 3 bedrooms and want to convert a loft space. Looking to tackle kitchen and bathroom on the first floor. However, would like to have the whole flat/space reviewed on a holistic level to see if we can try to obtain a better configuration/layout. Would like to hear of recommendations of architects/designers who are looking for some private work, or interested to add to their portfolio not giving the standard "what is your budget and therefore we can only provide traditional/standard drawings/feasibility study before even coming around to have a chat" attitude. I have approached some firms mentioned on this forum already and some have left me not feeling like I should even bother when in the first correspondence they already want to submit a fee proposal before even chatting through our requirements. I do not have an extensive background of what services Architects provide and I know you get what you pay for. But would have thought surely there are some who would consider tailored, individual projects? Any other advice much appreciated too. Thanks

Yes it looks very nice! We ended up with Nam Grass's Elise and got them installed by OasisGrass. In the end it was a very close call to Chelsea Grass!

And general what to avoid or to pay attention to when considering the project. A nervous mom with a young one looking to do the loft either on its own or as part of a full refurb. Many thanks!

We would like to add our recommendation for the work done by Pure View for our flat too. Peter and Bartek refurbished our stairs and skirting and built a custom design tv console unit to suit the space in the alcove in our lounge. They were efficient, polite, timely in communication and their work were finished to high quality. Peter even came around in the evenings to discuss design options with us regarding the tv cabinet when we were not sure whether to go for a built in cabinet or a free standing one. He was very attentive towards our vision and requirements, kept us in the loop throughout the building process with photos and even remade the legs of the cabinet to better suit our preferences for how we wanted the final product to look. They were also very tidy and kept the space they were working in very neat, which was important because we had a baby around during the day and shared the common hallway with our neighbours. We hope to be able to use their services again when we move onto other projects in our flat. Definitely highly recommended!
