  1. One of the regulars who is in close contact with the owner/ manager who helped with clearout
  2. Saw that they were clearing out House of Tippler the other day. Never really frequented that tiny cocktail bar next to GBK all that much but still sad to see another business closure on the Lane.
  3. What about The Bishop and House of Tippler?
  4. And here comes the first Nick Griffin wannabe with his opinion.
  5. In a borough that voted 72.8% to remain.
  6. I had started a thread a few days ago regarding Pizza Pickup closing down but it mysteriously disappeared.
  7. Noticed that Pizza Pickup on Peckham Rye Lane has shut down. Anyone know what happened?? I considered it one of the best pizza places in the whole Dulwich/Peckham/Nunhead area.
  8. Kudos to Jules and Nick for replying to this thread and setting the record straight. Also looking forward to seeing it re-open. And have also noticed how quiet DulwichFox"news" has been since being corrected.
  9. Does anyone know what the heck happened with this failed venture?
  10. Shame about DHFC being knocked out of FA Cup after a valiant effort. Can anybody tell me what the attendance was? Was there a good Hamlet away supporter contingent that made the trip to Eastbourne?
  11. Yes I know how to use all those apps. I know how to get to Imperial Fields. I know how to book various types of cabs. I'm just pointing out that it's a shame that our local club is not exactly local at the moment and that it does add a bit of extra cost to watch them play. Did the- 22 minutes train East Dulwich>Tulse Hill>Mitcham Junction- actually work last Saturday? It would be nice if the club could perhaps provide updated travel information on a weekly basis to ensure fans turn out in numbers at our temporary 'home' games. I know that a dedicated shuttle bus (or buses) departing every game from Champion Hill to Mitcham would deem to be not cost effective but it would be a nice two fingers to Meadow Residential showing that we will not give up on 125+ years of football history.
  12. Yes I know how to get there and have been down to Imperial Fields a few times - but when I checked my train times app on Saturday the East Dulwich to Tulse Hill then change for Mitcham Junction showed there were no train routes for some reason. It was telling me to go via Forest Hill to East Croydon then tram- A 1 hour and 24 minute total journey door to door instead of 30 minute journey (or my usual 9 minute walk to Champion Hill back in the good old days)
  13. I thought that train service via Tulse Hill doesn't run anymore
  14. Gone are the days of spontaneously deciding at 2:30pm to go and watch The Hamlet play. I so miss seeing the community spirit in the walk to Champion Hill with all the pubs and restaurants on LL filled with people wearing pink and blue scarves and shirts. It's a real shame as now the train routes seems to have changed to get to DHFC's temporary ground near Mitcham Junction adding to journey time. An uber costs well over ?20 from ED and buses are not an option. It's getting harder and harder to support our 'local' team and I'd rather be spending that money and seeing it go directly to the club rather than a cab or TFL. I know it sounds like a broken record but- The sooner that this mess is resolved and we see Hamlet moving back home to Champion Hill the better! Sadly it still looks grim.
