  1. Admin, I'm with the concerned posters: eastDAG has failed to respond to proper questions. Delete the thread or bar eastDAG.
  2. Amusing confusion emerging in this thread between "hangar" and "hanger". Leads to two totally different lines of discussion.
  3. Aquarius Golf Club, Marmora Road: www.aquariusgolfclub.co.uk/pages.php/index.html 9-hole course laid out around a covered reservoir hence the name. ?540 a year for full membership. Friendly place, if a bit quirky.
  4. Past 9 months or so noticeably lower westbound flight path south of Dulwich Park: I estimate 1,500-2,000 feet though without reliable triangulation. We've lived in ED since 1993.
  5. Foxy 2008 retirement? I had you somewhat older vintage (though not quite on a par with the Duke of Edinburgh), travelling the tram route (pic attached).
  6. Passed the scene at 6.25pm. Looks largely like a water mains burst, though may be a gas leak being suppressed by water dosing.
  7. JoeLeg is entirely correct as matters currently stand. We all highly hope and pray the victim pulls through, but if he dies the charge will most certainly be upgraded to murder. No intent to kill need be proven on a murder charge: intent to cause GBH is enough for a conviction. That's been the law since 1957 at latest (R v Vickers, confirmed by the House of Lords in R v Moloney in 1985). And yes, I'm a lawyer ...
  8. Six months out of date, and written by a local luvvie: unreliable
  9. Youth stabbed in the back on a 176 bus at 0830 - I was on the upper deck having just boarded. Looked serious but not life-threatening.
  10. Charlie I've a number of freehold flat shareholds. Allocate one corporate share per flat, then sort out the service charges between yourselves.
  11. Lavender27 please let us know you're OK and if you're not just call for help - don't suffer alone, there are people out here who care ...
  12. rendelharris A) I agree B) Nor had I, and it's Labour but I make nothing of that C) Forsooth gives you away maybe ... Not sure there's anything between us.
  13. Let's wait and see. If the answer is "no" or there's no answer, that'll likely tell us all we need to know.
  14. Now it's been brought to your attention and you've engaged with this forum, please answer the points raised with you.
  15. For once the Fox doesn't have his finger on the Lordship Lane pulse. Slipping, Foxy? I'm a great fan of yours.
  16. Burst main on Gallery Road. Thames Water website says in hand for repair but no completion time given
  17. Tap down to a dribble this morning in Woodwarde Road. Anyone else suffering the same?
  18. Fox_tall, put me down for ?20 and let me know how best to deliver in cash or kind. Spending Xmas in hospital is miserable at any age (my 83-year old father had that experience last year), but for kids even more so.

  20. Report to Southwark Council highways department, by phone or in writing. You'll find the details at: https://forms.southwark.gov.uk/ShowForm.asp?fm_fid=276
  21. I'd been a regular customer of Target Arms for quite a few years before I moved to ED in 1993, buying mainly decommissioned firearms from the period 1890-1950, and continued to put my money over the counter there right up until it closed around 2008. Proprietor Dennis was (still is - he lives in Beckenham) a knowledgeable collector, and always happy to share his knowledge if you took an interest: though his typical window displays of knives, swords, guns and other military hardware were likely not to everyone's taste. It was a severe hike in rent and business rates which persuaded him to quit LL and go solely online.
