  1. I had Brad and his team, mainly Tony & Kenny, at our new place for about 6 weeks in March/April. Due to a fluid, ever expanding and changing requirement list, and loads of other tradies coming in and out I wouldn't have blamed them if they'd complained or downed tools but they worked with whoever they needed to and got on with the job in good humour. The paint job was slick and prepped really nicely, and the replacement skirting boards completely transformed the place. Uncovering about 100 years of botch jobs and "I'll leave that for the next guy", behind the walls and skirting boards, they always kept me up to date with any snags, consulted on workarounds and explained how the finished article would look. They also gave me some good advice on touch-ups and other work for the future. I'm very glad I hired them and highly recommend to anyone else on here.
  2. Just had some roofing work done to my new place in Honor Oak. I used a company called GTS Roofing who were really good and cleared up some very poor valley work that had caused leakage into the house. Clearly explained what they needed to do, had me up on the roof to explain the progress halfway through and provided all the relevant before and after photos. I dealt with Terry Read who was really responsive throughout the whole process - from confirming the booking on Friday afternoon the scaffold was up first thing on Saturday and the work was complete by Tuesday lunchtime. Hopefully won't need them again for a good while but would certainly recommend - I found them through checkatrade here; www.checkatrade.com/GTSRoofingAndMaintenance/
  3. I'll back up Rocket on Peckham Rye too, ?18 for a cut which seems about right to me for a good barber these days. All good blokes working in there, relaxed environment and they seem happy to either follow instructions or recommend something depending on what people ask for. I've seen them do trendy stuff, long hair, old man cuts (probably like mine) and women's short cuts.
