  1. Yes, so do I :) -but it can?t be used safely by a wheelchair user or person with buggy. Needs to be a zebra crossing and wider. People can spend ages in the middle.
  2. I?ve agreed with the proposals and I?ve also suggested that: There needs to be a pelican style crossing at the island between the Gove pub and the Dulwich riding school. The current crossing facility is a danger to life. It is unlit (in bad weather/at night) and is a risk to pedestrians especially when vehicles are speeding. Cars are under no obligation to stop and the island is too narrow to fit a buggy or wheelchair. It would be sticking out and easily hit by oncoming traffic!
  3. Hi Pinkgrapefruit Best thing to do is take her to a South American hair stylist. I have mixed girls with 'crazy' hair. Crazy because the texture and 'look' can be very deceiving - even to Afro/caribbeans (such as myself). It has taken me 6 years to find good stylists but they are Brazilian - in Stratford shopping centre. Closer to Dulwich you can go to any Dominican hair stylist in the Brixton area or near Elephant & Castle. Google them. Afro and European stylists tend to be too harsh or too gentle with the hair - unless of course you are looking for braids in which case any will do! X
  4. My daughter was a selective mute for her first 3 years of education. She is now speaking in class after 3 months in DVIS since changing schools!
  5. Thanks for your message. Ive been to see the school and I love it. Elmgreen is good too.
  6. Thank you all for the post. Going to see the school soon.
  7. Hi Is (the old) Charter still good? I am thinking of applying for my child? Does anyone have children there and can recommend? Many thanks
  8. Hi everyone! Thank you for posting. Your comments are very helpful. I hope I will make my mind up by the end of this month. The other school I was thinking of is the old Charter, Red Post Hill. Missed the open days so I have never been inside to get a feel :(
  9. Hello Does anyone have children attending Elmgreen secondary school?? I am currently looking for Yr 7 place for my daughter. Been to the school 3 times and loved it each time. Seems too good to be true so I really need a second opinion. Anyone please... even of you only live or work near the school and don't send your children there. Many thanks! ;-)
  10. Argos ring top 'Twilight black out curtains' with extendable curtain rod bought seperately. Does the trick. Quick and easy to fit in a range of colours.
  11. Thank you Klove. Very helpful. Sounds perfect for my eldest who's 10. I hope she passes the exam and that they have sibling priority :-)
  12. Thanks but is SHS that bad?? Over 600 have viewed but only one person posted :-0
  13. Hi I'd like to know the same. My daughter has been offered a place, not sure what to do... Currently at State School looking for a better experience.
