  1. I'm sure the OP has long since sold, but I thought this was the most appropriate place for another glowing recommendation for No Flies. We've just sold through them, and their service has been excellent. Both Brendan and Tony know their stuff and are very responsive - they'd reply to emails to arrange viewings at the weekends and evenings. We got lots of viewings and were very happy with the price achieved too. They also managed a complicated process between offer and exchange with patience, sensible advice and humour. I found them through recommendations on here, and really can't recommend them highly enough.
  2. Does anyone know how long the 'emergency' timetable is in place? The London Overground is planned to be closed for a week at the start of August due to Crossrail works at Whitechapel (https://tfl.gov.uk/status-updates/major-works-and-events/east-london-line-closure), so unless Southern have reinstated some trains by then it's going to be even more chaotic.
  3. Front right seat upstairs every time, as that's the upstairs driver's seat. They should install toy steering wheels to encourage people to head to the top deck.
  4. Hello, I'd like to sing the praises of Jan at Silver Fern Landscapes. He did a really great job paving, fencing, returfing and generally tidying up our garden. He gave us lots of useful and very practical advice, and he takes a real pride in his work. His website is www.silverfernlondon.co.uk and phone number is 07905 950686. Thanks, Laura

That's the only way they'll fit everyone on at the current rate! Thanks for taking this up Renata (and for speedily responding to my email with feedback last week). The London Terminals ticket point is really important. I used to use these and then walk everywhere, as could get to Charing Cross, Waterloo, Canon St (via London Bridge change) easily and cheaply and avoid the tube, but they're all out of the equation now with the LB works. Least I'm getting fitter walking from LB or Blackfriars!

  7. People who drag their wheelie bags down steps rather than carrying them...bang, bang, bang. I know it might be heavy, or they might be weaklings, but this is the thread for irrational rage after all
  8. People who call their in-laws 'out-laws'.
