  1. I bought resident tickets for ?20 (usually ?70+). No point arguing on here, let the moaners moan. If it wasnt this festival, it would be something else to moan about this weekend then onto the next thing next week. I love living in this area but the fun prevention officers that occupy this forum make me question it sometimes
  2. Went Yesterday and had a brilliant time. Lovely event full of lovely people having a good time. Much needed after the last 18 months. Very lucky to have it on our door step. Was actually commenting when there how the kids these days seem to put all their litter in bins no matter how mashed they were. In my day, festival floors were like rubbish tips. Was hardly a crushed can to be seen. 10:30pm finish, hardly keeping anyone up all night. I get more noise from the local pub constantly doing weddings. Nice to have a bit of life in the area eh
  3. I'd be a lot happier sticking to the outer path if cyclists stopped treating the place like an olympic velodrome. Both my dog and baby nearly get decapitated by speeding idiots every time i try to walk around it. If it was a motorbike going around at that speed people would be up in arms but because its a lycra clad lunatic creating the speed rather than an engine, it seems to be accepted
  4. ?Trying to get away with it? Jesus, I?d imagine all they?re trying to get away with is keeping their business alive at the hardest time in a generation. Firstly you have no idea if they?re licensed for the outdoor area or not, secondly, you have no idea if they?ve even seen the email or not. Would take 5 seconds to put your head in the door and have a conversation about it instead of causing trouble for them with the council. Some people would rather the high street (that they CHOSE to live on) was all boarded up rather than them have 5 minutes of inconvenience
  5. But why send an email when you could just go down and talk it through face to face? If you felt that bad you wouldn?t be running straight to the authorities. Give it a week or so and it?s going to be too cold for it to be a problem
  6. Why don?t you go down and talk to them instead of involving the authorities from the off? Local businesses need all the help they can get right now, not grief from the council.
  7. Pretty sure I know who you mean. Stopped me on Landcroft Road a couple of weeks back and I entertained it as I need a window cleaner and he seemed alright at first but then went on a mad one telling me about all these nonces that live on the street and to be careful and then kept stressing the point that he wasn?t African Seemed more of a mental health issue than a dangerous criminal to me but who knows eh
  8. I think they may have changed it to 7 days as when i looked last week, everything was booked for 2 weeks. Either that or i just read it completely wrong last week! Either way, its still totally pointless and made things worse. Must have cost a few quid to build the booking website / system too Before it was a sort of unwritten rule that if people were waiting you came off after an hour where as now, as long as both players book back to back you can lock it off for 2 hours. Doesn't look like there is anything stopping you from booking every day so no vetting of that and no way of them logging how many times you've been unsuccessful getting a slot
  9. Really angry about this. Noticed some idiot had tagged all over it the other week. All the blank walls to choose from and they go and do that. Hope it'll be recreated
  10. Despite the current system not being broken, Southwark council have now made it so you have to pre book all the free to use tennis courts in the Borough which has now made it near impossible to play unless you want to plan weeks in advance as people are just booking up every slot possible for weeks. Was never an issue before, worse case you had to wait for 30 mins or so or if Dulwich Park was too busy a short walk over to Belair Park usually did the trick. Now you book for a slot 2 weeks time in advance (if you're quick enough) and then if it rains cats and dogs during your slot you can't get another for another 2 weeks. Does anyone know of any private courts / club locally you can pay to use that don't cost the earth? Was playing 3 times a week before and getting good exercise which has sadly come to an end since the new system came in
  11. Can't justify the price of Ollys these days. Always been expensive and recently put their prices up again to piss take levels. Rose's is decent enough.
  12. So you think anyone should just be able to stick any posters anywhere they want then? Brexit Party posters on every tree is all good yes? There are community notice boards for this type of thing. One a matter of yards from the illegally posted ones i saw today
  13. Didn't read it but presume its same subject as the one they put through my letterbox about a meeting about schools. Taped to the side of bus stop southbound by Melbourne and on a tree outside Bells. Presume they're not the only 2
  14. What makes them think its ok to stick their leaflets up in bus shelters? Also seen them pinned to trees. I'm sure the council will be fining them like they would if it was any other business?
  15. It could have been at 3pm with a note stapled to every residents arse 2 weeks up front and they?d still be 5 pages of moans on here. Far worse noises every day in SE22. Its not the Cotswolds
  16. Hardly 2am is it! 10 mins of noise at 10pm isn?t the end of the world
  17. Thought it was ace! Had a great view of an incredible display out my window. Me and my dog enjoyed it very much. Not like they?re doing it every week is it!
  18. Yes please....My wife has been banging on about the need for a good Mexican in ED since we moved here
  19. Can definitely recommend the Belly Rub Club www.thebellyrubclub.com
  20. Went twice this weekend and loved it. Great vibe, great food and certainly didnt have any issues with service. Reasonably priced too. Great addition to LL
  21. Can anyone recommend a good personal trainer around Dulwich Park / Peckham Rye for a bloke that hasn't exercised in years?

I asked if anyone knew if there were any plans for the units Sarky dickhead
  23. Anyone know of any plans for the shops in a row next to William Rose? The unit directly next to the butchers looks like its being worked on. Then next to that you have the laundrette that has now closed down. Then an Indian thats still open but i've never seen any punters in, then last in the row is the Irish shop which hasn't been open for donkeys Some prime sites there to be had
  24. I've not long moved from Clapham and there were at least 5 burger joints within 100 yards of one another and all seemed to be fairly busy all the time so don't be surprised if there are even more to come!
