Hi everyone, I sent an email and called Helen Hayes MP as there were rumours that one of the fantastic local shops (Dixit Food & Wine on Rosendale Rd) might be closed down next week. The shop, like many other small corner shops are vital to local residents, even without the virus going round. I received the following rather positive email from Helen Hayes MP that I wanted to share with you, to hopefully help alliviate some stress: Our Ref: ZA30510 25 March 2020 Dear Joe, Thank you for your email and your phone call. I share your view about the importance to local communities of small food shops. They play a very important role in ensuring that many residents have access to food supplies. The Government policy is that shops of this nature should stay open.
