  1. Well done for highlighting the hostel in Barry Road and their request for baby things. We took some clothes, toys and a pram up today and as experienced by many posters above, the staff there were so gracious and grateful. There is obviously a real need and the people there have very little compared to many of us. So if you do have some good condition baby things they would undoubtedly be really appreciated.

  3. The jams in ticket hall and stairs at Denmark Hill aren't that bad. Mildly irritating for about 30 seconds usually. And they are about to open a new ticket office to solve that problem too. If Denmark Hill is nearer you, I wouldn't listen too much to what people say about the people jams...
  4. Anyone eaten at The Rye on Peckham Rye since last refurb? Any good? Going out for first night out in a while and looking for really nice pub food... If not The Rye, any recommendations?
  5. Why doesn't everyone just put cones in front of their house... Why do builders need a parking space more than residents? I'd move them too. Selfish gits. We had builders working on our house and they never once reserved the space.... Just got there early enough to beat the estate agents to the parking spaces.

  7. I asked EDT about whether they will show France v Scotland at 8pm and they said 'definitely' which means for those wanting to watch the meaningless game at 5pm, it will certainly be on at EDT (just joking re meaningfulness of Wal v Eng.....c'mon the Taffs!!!)

How do you become a middle class wannabe? I drive a Toyota, bang on about house prices and insist on the occasional Ocado delivery to liven up my dull life of working in the City and dealing with young kids.... Am I middle class or just a middle class wannabe? And how could I tell one way or the other? And you are probably right... ED is probably boring for those who aren't middle class and / or don't have a pram... Although I'd heard that there is a right good laugh to be had at Bar Boho after 11pm (can't validate that though as am usually in bed) :-)
  9. Would it help if Le Ch. put a notice on the door saying 'no more than 2 buggies/prams at a time'? It is perfectly okay to put such a sign up about school kids and nobody complains. Perhaps it will help them with their message when they turn people away.
  10. Which of the 44 pages do I go to to find the opening date of the new M&S?
  11. Someone with mental health issues driving a car at cyclists....that would be really worrying!!!!! 12. Saw plat de jour at a certain French place on LL the other day was Steak Hache de Cheval.... (True BTW) Obviously competing with Tesco...! Anyone try it?
  13. Contrary to policy... We had a decent Greek meal there. Not pant soilingly good but enjoyable.
  14. Chris Morris did our side return extension at same time as our neighbours. He is a v good builder and 4 years on we are still v happy with it. Lots of other recommendations for Chris on EDF... His mobile is 07967 198938
