No, its light coloured. We do get foxes pooing in our (back) garden too. But this is a dog, and its owner must walk it past our gate regularly as this happens at least once a week. Fed up with our toddlers getting it on their shoes and it's not nice cleaning it up as I'm pregnant.. is it just cat poo you should avoid when pregnant?

  2. I posted quite a gew times to the other thread saying that in recent years I had always found the reception staff to be incredibly helpful and they have allowed me to book my children in late for appointments on occasion. But I don't really feel like rehashing the debate again.

Yes, a one minute late in the evening policy is draconion, if true. As originally you said you were 20 mins late, I am not sure of the truth of it. Certainly, if you were as rude in person as you were in te original thread, yoy probably wouldn't have won any friends amongst the reception staff (and by 6.50pm with no one waiting for that last appt, maybe the dr had left?)

Teachers cannot be considered self employed.

I have responsibility for this whole area (in a school!) and have had several very brusing experiences recently with HMRC who are incredibly strict.

There is an online tool for employers to try to determine if a role can be considered self employed:

  4. I don't think that's a very appropriate use of KIT days. What an awful thing to have hanging over you when you are about to go back.

I do think if you could put any bad temper/forgetfulness/tiredness etc prior to your mat leave down as pregnancy related then you could argue discrimination if it affects your appraisal.. difficult though without a union on your side.

What effect would a poor appraisal have on you, practically? Perfromance related pay? Or is it just the upset?

I think it will depend on your contract
