I believe it is based on your gross earnings for any 13 weeks of your choice during the test period (the 66 weeks before the week you expect to give birth). The 13 weeks do not have to be consecutive. Here is a link to the application form, which has details on it: http://www.dwp.gov.uk/advisers/claimforms/ma1_print.pdf
Ok, 5th Dec it is. I think we may have some relatives staying over which would be great from the point of view of assistance from Mr F as I creep out past the front gate.. (in my jeans and babypuke stained jumper...) though that saturday is also both Heber school Xmas Fayre and the Twins Club Xmas party and on the Sunday I'm making lunch for 24 people including infants!!

Think we'll manage this quite soon? I need a weekend my sister is visiting really, two babies and Mr F don't mix very well as they have supersensitive baby radar that can detect if I move out of a 15m range and an alarm goes off.

I agree with the Nappy Lady.. I do like to get out occasionally in the evening with my NCT pals, but TBH ?15 is about my total budget for a night out and I'd rather spend that on a few nibbles and a couple of glasses of fizz in Green and blue than pay for entry to some sort of event. But maybe I'm just old and scroogelike!
