  1. This post really angers me. And it's not just about whether or not someone kicked a dog - which if true, yes, is not acceptable. What angers me most is that yet again we have someone publicly shaming someone else online - clearly showing who this person is. If an offence was committed then this should be highlighted to the relevant authority dealing with matters of animal protection - not the bear pit of a local forum. Shaming using a photograph of the person does nothing but demonise and create a witch hunt - whether that person shown is guilty or not. We live in a horrible world where people's lives are ruined by such threads as this. Is that what the original post author and everyone who has weighed in really wants? By all means raise the issue with the person in question, and if you have concerns for animal welfare please do it through the proper channels.
  2. Not sure it's any reassurance - but we're in SE5 (top of DKH / Grove Lane / Camberwell Grove area) - we have had just two postal deliveries, yes TWO since mid-August. It's a BIG issue across the whole area. Have complained repeatedly to the Royal Mail service line, and in mid September was told if I was 'desperate' to go to Camberwell Station Road Sorting Office to pick up post. Which we did - to be handed over a MASSIVE pile of undelivered mail. Have been told this is all down to lack of staff and our postie being taken off our 'watch' and put onto other areas on an adhoc basis... means he can't then catch up with everything not delivered to us; so a vicious cycle. Then throw in the weekly post strikes and it's a perfect storm of 'no mail'. Basically - we now only get post once a month, unless we go and hunt it out ourselves. SHAMBOLIC.
  3. Have sent you the details of a brilliant local bee keeping expert via PM. Had a similar situation a couple of months ago - and he was brilliant. If the queen is still with them it's relatively straightforward to move them. If the queen is lost then they will simply disperse within a couple of days. He will know for sure.
  4. I know it's not everyone's ideal pathway - but if you're at the end of your tether with a local GP, and are able to pay, then BUPA have a very good dedicated menopause service (with experts in the field) for ?250 (and you don't need to have an existing, or take out a BUPA plan to access it). https://www.bupa.co.uk/health/payg/menopause-plan
  5. Hello UPDATE: Thank you for all your messages - I have passed on. This message will now removed. My brilliant and wonderful cleaner is currently looking for more work in the East Dulwich, Peckham and Camberwell area. She has been our cleaner for over 14 years so I can really recommend her. She extremely reliable, very good at her job, plus is a lovely person to have in the house. Happy for anyone interested to PM me and I will pass on her name and number to you directly. Best A
  6. Thank you so much for this helpful and honest feedback. Much appreciated. Best art creativity we have seen in any school for a long time - so was quite blown away by that. Wow - 2,000 students is mind boggling. As mentioned was concerned about the administrative chaos (crossed our minds - and some other parents who were there - that if they couldn't organise an open evening then how could they organise anything more complex...) and the school did appear pretty run-down - but guess that's the state of affairs in state education these days. Thank you
  7. Hi there Interested in applying to Kingsdale Sixth Form. Would be interested to hear the thoughts from parents whose children have gone through the school at this age. To be frank, attended an open evening which was pretty shambolic (to say the least), but was won around by the output of the art department in particular. Just left with some big concerns about how the school operates, and the general state of the facilities, all of which didn't leave a great impression on us at the time. Some feedback on this and the teaching would be greatly received.
