  1. Went down there earlier and no police tape etc. aren't roads normally cordened off for ages for these thing???
  2. I witnessed two women follow an old chap on Matham Road about 2 months ago. When he went into his house they started to look through bins in front gardens. I then observed them walk around the block back onto lordship lane and get into a car that was parked up with two men and a woman in. I'm in no doubt that they were up to no good and they appeared to be part of a team plying their trade. police we're called and arrived blooming quick.
  3. Thanks for the replies people, didn't think it would be that easy to be honest!
  4. Any ideas how I get rid of an old mattress? Will the council pick up?? Ta
  5. 500,000 for a two bed flat on LL; the world has officially gone mad!
  6. Morning all, happy new year! Desperately need my hair cut and I was wondering if anyone has walked past GK barbers on Melbourne Grove today and seen if its open?? thanks Oliver
  7. From the general driving standards around here I'd be amazed if many drivers have ever even looked at the Highway Code!
  8. LauraLou sorry for my rather blunt and insensative post, I'll think before i type next time! That sounds like an awful experience, hope you're not too shaken up.
  9. What crime is that then? In my very limited legal knowledge it's a public order offence at most. AcedOut Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Please, please ensure this gets reported. This > idiot committed a serious crime.
  10. Isn't it easy to critise the police from afar when, in reality, you have absolutely no idea what's going on. I can't imagine how utterly dismal it must be working with the dregs of society all the while under the spotlight of the media/general public ready to critise at every given opportunity. I wouldn't do it for all the tea in china!
  11. Snap - all of a sudden (2/3 weeks)our sky broadband is shocking. Phone call in the morning me thinks.
  12. If I ever think that I might get stranded in a yellow box I drive incredibly slowly until the space ahead clears. Surely as long as you don't actually stop they can't fine you.

Happy now? I have literally no idea what any of that means.
  14. Without meaning to sound like a smart arse that's why you should never bother locking the glove box. Just don't leave anything expensive in there!
  15. I still can't understand why these banks (that make billions a year) don't fit CCTV above the machines is beyond me. Surely there must be ways of stopping this from happening!

  17. Blimey I'm always chaining my (worryingly expensive) bike up outside Co-op what did the thieving s*** look like so I can keep my eyes peeled? Ta
  18. Can only be a good thing in my opinion, although incredibly sad that we live in a world where this is necessary.

Alex and his team have always been brilliant and their workmanship is second to none. Why would anyone say they're "losing their patience" when no work has been done? Very strange.

  23. Christ people actually fall for this, seriously????
  24. 10,000 smart phones are stolen in London every month (mps twitter) so nicking iphones/blackberrys etc is obviously a very lucrative business! Sad as it is but maybe a basic 20 quid pay as you go mobile could be the way to go, can't imagine they would bother nicking these.
