  1. Looking for someone who knows about fixing iPods (a nano 6th gen). The screen got smashed so ordered a new screen and tried to fit it (as per youtube videos) but now doesn't seem to be working at all. May just be because the new screen isn't fitted tight. Have another new screen and the various tools but could do with some help from someone who knows what the heck is going on! Don't want to pay an extortionate amount (as places like iSmash charge). Just some reasonable help if its out there! Thanks.
  2. My polo has a leak - I think it is coming from the passenger side door seal but is now beyond a joke as I don't use it that much. Sopping wet carpet and back seats are going mouldy. Really pretty gross. Need some advice on who could fix the problem and dry it out. Then I guess I could get it steam cleaned once fixed. Any ideas would be hugely welcomed. Thank you!
  3. Anyone know any good karate classes for beginners locally? Thanks.
  4. Fernando came to clear the leaves from my garden today (and a general tidy up ahead of Christmas) and has done a fantastic job. He's the most lovely man you could wish to meet. Very polite, friendly and no trace of any mess left behind. Someone who genuinely takes pride in his work and and wants you to be happy. Thoroughly recommend.
  5. I'll see what other feedback I get and then brave their call centre again to see what they're going to do about it! Thanks! Anyone with Virgin? Are they any good round here?
  6. I'm on EE / Orange and getting really hacked off with the rubbish signal around here. Is anyone else having the same problem? It seems to have got worse since EE took over several months ago. My iphone is constantly searching for a network which means I can't make / take calls, or if I can, they drop off in the middle. Won't send texts, etc. Basically useless. EE just tell me to reset the phone and it will then find a new mast to pick up signal from. Since I've been resetting it has got worse still. If you live in Adys Road area and get a good signal please tell me who you're with so I can try to switch. Work mobile with Vodafone which seems to be better but still far from perfect. Thanks!
  7. Thank you for all the suggestions - very helpful.
  8. Hello...can anyone recommend someone local who repairs holes in cashmere jumpers? All the ones I've found (mainly west London) seem to charge at least ?40 per hole and several weeks wait! Seems a bit steep. Ideally I'd like invisible mending but if anyone can recommend someone good they've used who doesn't cost the earth then I'd LOVE to hear from you! Thanks.
