  1. I agree - the NHS is in > an absolute mess, but the staff have shouted long > enough. It is > chronically underfunded and the staff are broken. > If you work with us, we can pull it back. Brilliant post from someone who's able to draw from his / her broad experience of the NHS rather than extrapolating from one or two isolated incidents. And echoing others here, if you look at any breakdown of cost pressures on the NHS it's aging population, costs of new technologies and new types of treatments which hugely outweigh any cost pressures from immigrant patients. Immigrants coming to the UK tend to be young....
  2. No minimum spend with Farmdrop. They now deliver seven days a week! My cousin actually set the company up. Am biased but think it's brilliant too. Tomatoes that actually taste of tomatoes...and quite a lot of their stuff is cheaper than Sainsburies. There's a ?20 discount on their website at the moment for a first order.
  3. Lots of affluent people voted for Brexit / Trump, Louisa. I had the pleasure of sitting next to one of them on Boxing Day. Oxford educated. London based. Middle class. And very happy to spout some pretty noxious views about Muslims. This really is a lot more complicated than them vs us, don't you think?

Completely agree rendelh. The 'metropolitan liberal elite' tag is driving me round the bend. Hackneyed. Simplistic. Divisive.
  5. Yes, Sol, I had wondered about this too. Bessemer was a two form entry until quite recently, so it would have been 47 / 60 kids sitting their Sats if Year 6 was full, but I think class sizes sometimes get a little smaller the further up a school you go (people move away etc, some kids go private). If there was a bulge year at Goodrich then it would have been 94 out of 120 kids sitting the exam.
  6. We're looking for a cleaner for 3-5 hours tomorrow afternoon. Based in ED. ?11 per hour. Please PM if you're interested! Thanks
  7. Thanks guys. My computer seems to prefer the Telegraph site!
  8. Has anyone managed to see how Southwark schools have got on? Website keeps crashing. Thanks
