  1. I agree Rockets, attacking SUVs as a status symbol really weakens their argument. Either this is about the environment or it isn't. Separately, aren't most SUVs fitted with run-flats nowadays anyway? Know most BMWs are as standard.
  2. We had the same thing earlier in the year on Forest Hill Road. They were lifting the tarmac at 11pm on a couple of occasions - certainly didn't seem emergency works but presumed they had permission.
  3. Weirdly we've had exactly the same issue with our combi this morning too. Had an engineer attend who suspected the expansion vessel- apparently there's an emergency release over 3 bar hence the pressure building and then dropping to 0. Sadly in the end with our it turned out not to be the expansion vessel but the heat exchanger - so it's looking like new boiler time (ours is fairly old too and we've suspected it was on the way out for a while). Fingers crossed you have better luck with yours Pete!
  4. I don't get your argument against people visiting Gail's Freddo? If it's allowed to be open (which it is), then you can't get cross at customers turning up? The issue of it being busy is separate to staff following the law around mask wearing.
  5. Hi Renata, Many thanks again for all your assistance with this. I just wanted to wait for the next collection (today) to double-check, but yes, all back to normal. Thanks again for chasing it up, really appreciate it!
  6. Hi Zelig, thanks for the message, and yes I did that 11 days ago. I was simply asking for a more senior contact to escalate what is becoming quite a serious environmental issue to. Renata has been in touch and is being very helpful. Thanks for the suggestion....
  7. Brilliant thanks! Really appreciate the quick reply - will give them a try
  8. Hi, We've got a bit of an issue at our block on Forest Hill Road whereby the binmen/ Veolia seem to have forgotten about us over the last few weeks, and our communal bins are piling up (I've attached a picture from outside our flat this morning). I've flagged the issue to Southwark 3 times last week, and they just said the bin crew couldn't get access. I very much doubt this as I've tried the code to the bin area several times and it's working fine (I've also reiterated it to Southwark numerous times). But in either instance, it's a block of 50 flats so I don't understand why they couldn't just buzz a flat to be let in? I was just wondering whether anyone on here had a more senior contact at Southwark/ Veolia that this could be raised to, as it's becoming quite disgusting and there are obviously risks of rodent/ hygiene hazards. Thanks!!
