  1. You can buy a half dozen watch batteries for a couple of quid on Epay. In many cases a speccial tool is not required. Even if you have to buy the the tool to twist off the cover is not expensive - frm 99 pence to ?3. Then you have the tool for life.

    I don't mind the request for ID at all but I just think it's a sad to see such a modern, useful and large facility being underutilised whilst there is a growing fly-tipping problem.

  3. Went to the recycling centre just off the OKR twice in the last few days. There was a sign at the entrance saying "No Vans" plus a member of staff asked for ID in the form of a bank statement or some other official document proving residency in Southwark.


    Can't help but draw the conclusion that the recent spate of fly-tipping is a direct result of Southwark's stricter policy on using this facility.
