  2. The technique I use is to get a garden hose and push it up fro below. When you get it round the first bend turn the water on and then keep pushing up. Dave

  7. You can buy a half dozen watch batteries for a couple of quid on Epay. In many cases a speccial tool is not required. Even if you have to buy the the tool to twist off the cover is not expensive - frm 99 pence to ?3. Then you have the tool for life.

  12. Went to the recycling centre just off the OKR twice in the last few days. There was a sign at the entrance saying "No Vans" plus a member of staff asked for ID in the form of a bank statement or some other official document proving residency in Southwark. Can't help but draw the conclusion that the recent spate of fly-tipping is a direct result of Southwark's stricter policy on using this facility.
