  1. Perhaps you could call Kingsdale to make an appointment to speak to somebody about your concerns. I am sure they would be more than happy to discuss the issues you raised. I know that they do not actively participate in the discussions on the EDF because they feel it wouldn't be right but, from my experience as a parent, they do take feedback from parents and others very seriously.

My child is in year 8 and very happy there.

I know a few anxious parents whose children didn't get a place at Kingsdale this year and are desperate to find a way in.

  2. Goodrich tried the cones a few years back when Mr Coleman was still headmaster. Unbelievably some parents would get out of their car and move them to one side or even just push them out of the way with their cars. Some of us parents ended up trying to "guard" the cones but had to regularly put up with abuse and aggression from the offending parents.

Both the schools that my children go to have said that not having enough grit to keep their pathways safe is a major reason for closure. They have already used up the stocks they had and have more grit on order. But here lies the problem; the councils are prioritising new deliveries of grit to go to hospitals and major roads first, then to schools.

  4. To add to Msgee's post above....

It is great that Kingsdale are planning to offer this service, but I think they need enough families to sign up and pay their deposits in order to go ahead with the scheme. So, please get your response back as soon as you can and encourage other Kingsdale parents to do so as well. We would be so disappointed if it didn't go ahead.

I thought exactly the same when trying to cross Barry Road by car the other day. Does anybody know who we can call to ask for the board to be repositioned? Do you know the number?
