Louisa, No it hasn't been evacuated(!). I can see the package (looks like a small briefcase) out of my front window. Needless to say, I'm now sitting in the back room. WOW! Just heard a bang! Yep, looks like they used one of those robot things to do a "controlled explosion". The bag has moved a few feet in the blast and a policeman is now inpsecting iot with a torch.

Has anyone been experiencing problems with their TV picture since the heavy rain a couple of nights ago? I've got an indoor (digital) aerial so it's not got wet or anything. The picture quality if fine but it flicks vertically making it unwatchable but it only affects ITV (all versions, 1,2,3 +1 etc) and Channel 4 (all versions inc E4 etc). BBC channels are fine which makes me wonder if its a problem with the transmitter rather than my TV.
