Hello EDF, I have started the process of purchasing my loft space from the southwark council (freeholder) and working with a local loft conversion outfit who is handling planning permission. Has anyone had trouble/ applications rejected from the council for gaining permission for obscure (frosted) glass surround of roof terraces? Its not often you see them in East Dulwich, and have heard perhaps metal/wood is more amenable to the council or no terrace at all. I'm also trying to understand a bit more about when planning permissions is rejected as I'm looking to place windows which will be end of a housing terrace. Would anyone have any recommendations for electricians + numbers, just looking to install some pendant light, possibly some LED lighting on stairs, and a downlight in the entrance. Hi EDF, would anyone have a recommendations of someone you can trust to do a thorough job? I've had mixed advice from a few damp specialists - I want to have confidence they are not taking short-cuts as I don't know much about the level of work required.
