I have now had a reply from the leisure centre about why I am not entitled to a refund for my children's swimming lessons: To qualify for a refund, members must meet all of the following criteria: Have only ever used the swimming pool at Dulwich Leisure Centre, and not any other facilities such as the gym or fitness classes. Have not used any other Southwark Leisure Centres while the Dulwich pool has been closed. Have joined after the pool closure. This makes sense for a refund on a gym membership but makes absolutely no sense for a refund on swimming lessons for my children that they cancelled. Has anyone else had this?

I had exactly the same thing! I was going to complain to them. They took money from my account for swimming lessons at the beginning of April despite the pool being closed from late March. It can't be right to be charged a month when they didn't provide the lessons we signed up for. I don't understand how I'm not eligible when they have taken £80 and not given me any lessons in return.

Yes there seems to be a piercing studio in John Lewis on Oxford St that looks good, Tish Lyons, thank you -
Ear piercing for 10 year old

Thank you for the recommendations -
My daughter wants to get her ears pierced and I am looking for recent recommendations from experiences locally. I have heard that Polished use a needle rather than a gun which seems to be the general advice nowadays, but I remember my own experience at a similar age with a piercing gun being quick, easy and problem free. I'm looking for somewhere that will have the skills to put my child at ease and provide a professional service with proper aftercare advice. Many thanks

Charter School ED - SEN / ADHD experience
bubbachumps replied to schneidypops11@gmail's topic in The Family Room Discussion
My son doesn't have an EHCP. He does sometime get detentions, but I think that's fair enough if he's disrupting the class and ignoring the warning system. I think the teachers are probably more lenient with him though due to the ADHD otherwise I think he'd get more than he does currently. I find that liaising with individual teachers has helped. To a person they have been incredibly kind, understanding and supportive. He is happy and doing well and I don't feel I can ask for more than that. -

I have a child at Charter ED with ADHD and a variety of other learning problems and I really only have good things to say about the school and his experience there -

Does anyone remember the International Cocktail Bar that used to be somewhere on Lordship Lane, perhaps near where Chipotle is now? Circa 2002! -
Well said! Totally agree
