  1. maybe consider re-namimg it a 'tavern tour' instead to please the olds :) P.s welcome to the area - make sure you save room for a pizza in the Actress on the way round!
  2. love that with all the effort that went into it they didn't notice the sweet shop cover that tipped all the water on the guy, clearly blew in the wind with no water on it 1 second before!

    Livid....

where, what did the say? Inform the safer neighbourhood team.
  4. I have to be honest I have found them very helpful in the last 2 weeks after I had an operation - also I think the appointment system works great. The nurses have all been brilliant - and they actually all start work at 8am to fit in early morning appointments so I imagine 8am till 7pm is late enough for them. Now that said I would be pissed off too if I was a minute late and missed my appointment (I have a few times been a few minutes late) - did you check in to the system? I don't even talk to anyone when I check in?
  5. I have to say that I am surprised at how good the new builds actually look, I expected the usual modern towerblock style complex but they are actually quite tasteful and the windows looks really tasteful copies of original timber sash unlike the normal tacky PVC ones.
  6. Agreed - the questionnaire is anonymous as you don't give name / email / photo or anything, I don't suppose they will have to much trouble analysing the data if people put off most of the potential contributors. The form design is fine, it's free to setup. I'm a professional at marketin / design / information on the internet - but they are students having a go who should be encouraged. You'd be surprised the amount of students on my Uni course who didnt even consider any form of market research.
  7. Despite not being a supporter of Lib Dem myself I guess at the end of the day whatever the reasoning behind your post disappearing - it is the administrator's forum of which you (and I) pay nothing towards the running off, so if they wish to use it to support there own opinions then so be it. If I owned something of such power among the community then I would certainly use it to support a cause that I believed in. This is certainly no where near as bad as the openly biased coverage provided by all of the national newspapers and these are publications you do actually pay for. Not saying it's great, or fair, but nor is everything thing else in life :)
  8. Thought this might be of interest to the forum, my friend has made this great iPhone application to show you when Fruit and Veg is in season (rather than imported) - also helps to find farmers markets. The app is currently featured in the app store, but thought it would be relevant to the foody types around here :) http://www.seasonsapp.com/
  9. Ours got nicked as left outside our door, neighbour saw them but then they were gone (before we got them). Called council they were useless said - you can't have new ones and if someone has nicked them they will be able to vote without any other ID, so we will have to get there early to make sure or complain afterwards. Bunch of jobsworths at the council whenever I have had to deal with them....
  10. Steve thats sounds great, would love a photo if you could upload one? Thanks Mark
  11. Did you consider doing an arts fare on Peckham Rye park? Not sure what is involved in getting permission but they have events on their before and imagine that sort of thing would go down well. I'd be happy to help out if you are still keen? How many venues were interested out of interest?
  12. Yeh didn't think about the smell - great idea. Was looking at herbs and tomatoes, would be great to have edible things there as it's so close to the kitchen :) Bit more info btw; it's a small roof pretty much exact same dimensions as this; http://roofireland.com/img/imgs/051.jpg And considering constructing a small bit of decking, that is fixed to the sides with some planters and a very low trellis across the back.
  13. thanks that's a great start, it is a small flat roof about that size, anyone else done something similar locally?
  14. I've been there a few times and it seems to be a space occupied by the artists themselves. Wondered what the deal is in terms of exhibiting and if there have a website or email to get in touch?
  15. So we have a small flat roof, will balcony doors opening onto it. There isn't much of a view (apart from the street) so I don't see much value in making it better to walk out onto, but perhaps some plants or a small garden might might a nice view out of the french doors? I'm a bit stuck on inspiration of how to make it look a few pots, or put down decking, or proper grass living roof? I would love some ideas and ideally some pictures if anyone has done something similar or nice? :)
  16. id be interested in helping - could exhibit some of my art, could also offer help with web design / online promotion for the event.
  17. thanks everyone - really appreciate your comments - look forward to joining you all!
  18. Hi, We are looking to move to East Dulwich around the Barry Road area - the town itself seems lovely, seacow is amazing!, only concern is the public transport going through places like Peckham / Queens road. The number 12 bus on a Saturday night was a bit un-nerving, but heard the 176 might be a better option? But wondered about the trains from East Dulwich what is your experiences? I often work late and wondered what it would be like for a woman going home late on their own? Is there much trouble on the trains when football matches are on? Any thoughts good or bad really appreciated.
